I was referring to draymond

I want every embiid stopper on the planet on my roster
He’s not an Embiid stopper. Embiid lights him up. Embiid shouldn’t have even been playing last night.

You have reporters questioning his character at press conferences because he misses a game in Denver and a 65 game rule that put a player with a compromised knee on the court.

I’m beyond livid.

Yeah it’s also possible hawks were a team low on JHS

I was

But according to the guy at the ringer some teams had a lottery grade on him.

Find one of them and make a deal happen

They picked Bufkin over JHS. Don't see why they would want JHS, other than as a piece to move elsewhere.

Hawks are just a bad organization. If this is all they can get, they’re better off waiting. This next move will have zero effect on what is a lost 23-24 season for them anyway.

...and they probably will wait. Maybe the Lakers offer up Reaves or expand the trade to take another contract from the Hawks to try to entice them.....or the trade opportunity just fades.

That’s easy for us to say when it won’t cost us 40 million dollars.

This kid played his ass off all year.

His choice is to come back early, not 100% or miss out on 43 million dollars.

"Loses $43m if he doesn't": Tyrese Haliburton's unlikely All-NBA bid amid injury absence sparks concern among fans

I'm not going to weep over the $200M contract coming up a fraction short, sorry. Are we really projecting Haliburton to that level this year anyway?

The player's union allowed this happen, it is what it is (for now).

No, I get that part. The incentives are crazy.

But that's what the problem is. Incentives IMO should be based on team accomplishments not personal ones.

Win the title, make an extra $40m, not make an All-NBA.

So the guy drafted by the Hawks or Hornets is automatically hamstrung financially unless they leave town? That doesn't work either. Contracts are for what YOU do, not your co-workers.

You have him for like 4 more years

Exactly. Letting lottery protections hold up a sizable building block moving forward is silly and really just a tactic. If that's all that keeps them from making the deal next Thursday, the Lakers should/would cave.

It's such a weird roster. You went and got Collins to bring Kessler off the bench? lol. Their front office wishes they were worse than they are but they have a good enough team to be competitive.

All the tea leaves indicate they will trade Mark in the offseason.

Danny has lost his fastball (or is just hoarding assets instead of building a team)?

I mean, say some team was offering 3/45.

Sure, I get it.

My point is……

Name a team willing to do that?

I like D Lo and I think he’s worth that much.

But….to who?

Maybe Brooklyn?

How about the Suns? Russell/Wood/2nds for Nurkic/Okogie

still the the professional opinion along with coaches’ and players’ decision at the end of the day. If they are letting media pressure them into playing then they are worried about the wrong things. You play when you are healthy, simple as that. Apparently the injury was not related to the other injury

he's got a ton of first round picks from 25 on..I think they will actually owe OKC this years if the standings stay as they are.

But I feel like he's danger of doing the same thing (but worse) as he did with Boston just adding a bunch of dudes instead of going for the building block

Wiggins is starting to play better. If the Cavs get Finals run Wiggins they are without a doubt better. Big if but I love how LeVert is playing right now so perfectly fine keeping him

Expecting finals run Wiggins in a year that the Warriors are considering moving him is a bit odd
