An unprotected 2029 and they should do it
It shouldn't matter if DLo is playing well or not, they know they need more. That isn't giving up a lot. Worth a shot

Yeah it’s also possible hawks were a team low on JHS

I was

But according to the guy at the ringer some teams had a lottery grade on him.

Find one of them and make a deal happen

I can turn my ankle in October and miss a month of basketball and not miss a single game after that but I’m not eligible for any awards lol in what world does that make sense

That should not be a priority for players. This is a team game. Players should be more focused on winning a title than making an All-NBA team.

If only we could actually go back to those times. But the Thunder wouldn’t exist.

If the Hawks can’t do better than that they are getting big time ripped off with what they are paying him. Does no one want him?
Hawks are just a bad organization. If this is all they can get, they’re better off waiting. This next move will have zero effect on what is a lost 23-24 season for them anyway.

That’s easy for us to say when it won’t cost us 40 million dollars.

This kid played his ass off all year.

His choice is to come back early, not 100% or miss out on 43 million dollars.

Nah, protect it or walk away. Murray is an upgrade but this Lakers team isn't going anywhere. Ham should have been canned. Even with Murray, they aren't gonna contend. So if Atlanta won't do it for that package in the OP tweet or with a protected pick, just walk and save the assets for the Summer when its easier to remake your roster. I'm not throwing out a full unprotected pick to go from 10th place, out in the play in to 8th place, lose in the 1st round

Why can’t they focus on both?
I hate this for him.

Starting Tuesday night, Haliburton must play at least 20 minutes in 32 of the Pacers’ final 35 regular-season games to remain eligible for an All-NBA selection. “I’m human like you guys. I use the internet as well,” Haliburton said. “I completely understand it, and I understand what’s at stake for me financially as well. But at the end of the day, I also gotta take care of my body to the best of my ability and put myself in the right situations. So yeah, I know I don’t have a ton of games left.”

Due to a new rule beginning this season, the now two-time All-Star, who was recently selected as the Pacers’ first All-Star starter since Paul George in 2016, can only miss a maximum of three more games while remaining eligible for an All-NBA selection and the multimillion-dollar bonus that comes with it. “I think it’s a stupid rule, like plenty of the guys in the league, but this is what the owners want, so as players, we gotta do our job and play in 65 games if we’re able to,” Haliburton said after practice Monday.“So, that’s what I gotta do, take care of my body to be able to play in those games, and I think you’re seeing other players in the league kind of face the same thing. As long as the owners are happy.”

I just don’t see it as an issue, anyone that this happens to is going to be rich beyond their wildest dreams to begin with. There was a need to do something and they did.
