Amick doesn’t have a good reputation. That being said, Mitchell declining his option literally means nothing. Honestly, we won’t know more until next season.
This depends on how far the Cavs get in the playoffs the next two seasons and if he thinks they can win.
Mitchell would choose NY over LA if he didn’t stay in CLE

He almost certainly goes sign and trade at minimum.

and again 2 of the 3 first rounders LA can trade are 5 and 7 years from now.

Not real appealing for a team approaching its prime.

Mitchell will likely decline his option. That is kind of a no brainer. That doesnt mean he would not re sign with Cleveland. But again look at this from the Cavs perspective. they are in win now mode. Why would they deal Mitchell for just draft picks? Sure we saw Philly do this with Harden but he is not the asset Mitchell is at this stage.

The Cavs are going to want a piece that can help then win now if it actually came to dealing Mitchell. The Lakers have nothing that fits that bill.

That's likely why the Lakers discussions have remained internal. I'm sure Young and Mitchell aren't the only names they discussed. It's likely that those discussions are ongoing.

They are in an interesting spot. On the one hand, they could complete the Murray trade which should immediately improve the team and increase their title chances. He's also young enough to keep around for a retool if Lebron ever retires.

On the other hand, they could stand pat or just look for buyout market help, then go into the off-season able to put together a package for a top player who can help them next season and still be paired with AD after Lebron retires (although, the way he's going, there are rookies who will retire before he does lol).

Season 6 What GIF by The Office

I heard on here TODAY that Mitchell wants to retire in Cleveland.....

LOL.

I expect that would be to sign an extension for more money.

Refs on the bullshit early. Rosier gets pushed and no call. Tatum is barely touched right after and gets the call

Well, this has been a waste of my time. Sixers have played with no energy tonight. Pacers playing like you would expect a desperate team losing 5 of their last 6 to play.

Just gotta flush it and move on. Wanted 4-1 out of this roadie and now they’re gonna be 0-1 out the gate.

Booooo!

Tip of the cap to Miles Turner though. That man usually don’t show in Embiid matchups. He’s played great tonight and some of it hasn’t actually been at the 3 point line.

I need a website that shows individual defensive matchups

Oubre is a feast or famine guy. You either get a really good and efficient night, active at both ends. But when you get a bad night it looks like Bad News Bears shit.
