If I'm Cleveland it's very tempting to move Garland given this run and the defensive and rebounding liability having Mitchell and Garland is come playoff time.
Garland immediately gets them Dejounte and they may even get a pick out of that. Garland is probably the player with the greater value.

Are you in favor of Presti looking at a wide open West and bringing in a vet with playoff success to be a complimentary piece to the main core?
This is simplistic but I’m in favor of whatever Presti does. He may be the best GM in the game at this point. Chemistry is such a big part of the game and I’ve never seen a professional team with the chemistry the Thunder have. People will say this is the big leagues, that rah rah stuff won’t play. But then you look at the talent and you have to wonder. They are just so unselfish. The Thunder have one weakness and it’s rebounding, They can generally overcome it but I expect it to be addressed.

Someone is wasting their time looking ahead to the playoffs, @msgkings322 saw to that with his jinx injury thread. It just better not be me.

The Sixers are better built to beat the Celtics now than they’ve ever been. They actually have athletic wings that can defend to try and combat the Jays. I think they need one more piece. Zinger is a really tough matchup though. You can’t have him pulling Embiid away from the rack.

The pathway to beating the Celtics is presenting the opportunity to bang that matchup because the Jays aren’t built to defer. They’ll still get their shots up and get away from that matchup.

Additionally, Joe Mazzulla is a shit show and can be exposed in a 7 game series. The biggest reason I wanted Doc gone is because that mother fucker actually got out coached by Joe Bag O Donuts.

You maybe have more

But they’re not as good defensively as thybulle

Oubre is athletic but not a great defender

The other guys are older to be chasing around the jays

But so many combinations available by both teams, the sixer coaching edge is a huge issue

Thybulle was unplayable in the playoffs. His most time on the court in the playoffs came when the Sixers didn’t even see the Celtics. Your time line is off.
Oubre is athletic but not a great defender
Agree. But Batum can defend. Harris can defend. Roco can defend. Melton can defend. Pat Bev can defend bigger guys. And there’s still the possibility that the guy they add is another wing defender.

No back to backs in the playoffs.

They need to make it an issue though.

Yep. Just has to be the right package. That is why I mentioned Bridges the other day. That is one player I would trade Garland for

Miami also saved $21 million in total cap and gained a $6.5 million trade exemption.

Luxury tax, not cap

But it also apparnetly drops them below the draconian second threshold so they restart next year

2027 lottery protected first

Unprotected In 2028 if it doesn’t convey in 2027

So Miami tied up their 26-29 firsts with this move

Bruce doesn’t seem long for Toronto.

He out here being reckless talking about what he can do for Thibbs like he knows he’s going to the Knicks.

What is the fit there? They just got OG at the wing. Donte and Hart at the 2.

If they're hell bent on pushing out Hart, send him back to the Lakers.
