Exactly.

But, they seem to be playing better now. But, I think a lot of that is to build up Russell's trade value. He has been playing well as of late scoring the ball.

Actually, the starting lineup of Lebron, AD, D-Lo, Reaves and Prince has been good. It doesn't seem like it should be, but it actually has been. I think the most likely reason is that Lebron has been more willing to play off the ball when Reaves and/or D-Lo are in the game.

I think for that reason is why you would always want to maximize the time you have one of them on the floor with James (ideally always)

kind of why I'm not sure Murray moves the needle much for LA even though he's vastly a better player than the other 2

The real way to hedge would be to just bet Texans money line but he said he is being greedy and thinks he can hit both. Yeah, it was also to bolster the bench. That is fact. In the pre-game show yesterday they pointed out that Lebron, AD, Reaves, D-Lo and Prince has been one of the better groups.

Not earlier in the season when the defense was a sieve and Reaves and Russell were struggling playing together. Still is to a point hence why Rob needs to add defense and shooting at the deadline.

Murray's defense makes it worth it IMO.

Yeah, I think part of the reason they seem to have so much interest in Murray, aside from the fact that he's a good player, is D-Lo's inconsistency and how poorly he played in the WCF last year. One of the problems with Lebrons age is they can't risk losing another potential title shot by waiting to see if he can perform better this time.

But as someone pointed out yesterday, if they move D-Lo, they're going to have to try to find another PG. Either with another trade or in the buyout market.

Maxey has been his best running mate in his career as a 2nd option. With Maxey he can engage in all the DHO stuff used to exploit Curry and Redick’s 3 pt shooting at the same elite clip of shot making and he can play pick and roll/pick and pop with Jo just like Harden did. I just want to see Embiid healthy for one post season run.

Interestingly enough ESPNs trade machine doesn't value Murray like we do....but I'm sure that's based on uninspired play this year.

Even with a move it will still come down to Embiid clearly being the best player in the series. That means he’s elite with his rim protection and at the offensive end he uses his gravity to get guys like Maxey and Tobias Harris off.

I agree that the Sixers need another piece or two though.

They've mostly got the defense. But they definitely need more consistent shooting. I expect that as they continue to get healthy and guys get more regular minutes, the shooting will improve. But I'm not sure they can be consistent enough with it to win a title.

They don't have anyone that you can look at and say "Okay, that's the guy I want shooting 3's".

D-Lo probably comes closest, but he's too streaky to be that guy. Maybe Reaves, but even then, he isn't hitting him them when they really need them like he was last year when it seemed like he hit about every big 3 he took.
