they could have just made it 12 games instead of the indefinite amount if this was going to be the outcome. i admit i haven't followed it totally but there was some speculation when the supspenion was announced that it would be most if not all of the regular season. its a danger risk to other players when you have a full 4 minutes of videos of him assaulting other players.

He had to be in frequent contact with the league and warriors for meetings so my thought process is they didn't want to put a set # because maybe if one of those meetings went bad then maybe he doesn't come back for another 2 weeks
did they decide something different on new years day compared to when it happened first on dec 14th? just imagine ron artest or metta world peace whatever he calls himself these days had the track record of draymond green? he would have got suspended easily for a whole season. yeah sure he had the suspension from the brawl beating up the fan and all that. this is a mistake though. i dont think anyone had him getting reinstated in january when this happened in december.
its pretty hard to go back and find quotes and all that from dec 14th when it happened or i would. but yeah me personally i expected at a minimum he wouldnt be back till near the end of the season if at all. that was what was being insinuated by reporters when the supsension first happened. if they decided something just 2 weeks after it happened then i guess good for him but i see it as a mistake and a message that you will get repeated slaps on wrist for repeated behavior.
