I said he was an elite DEFENSIVE coach.

His results beat that out. He engineered the KG Celtics defenses that were at the top of the league. His Bulls teams were always great defensively and the Knicks have been a lot better than the sum of their parts on the defensive side.

There aren’t many better at coaching NBA defense than Thibs.
