And when we hear that law enforcement is the least bit involved this stuff comes into play.Legal Age of Consent in Oklahoma in 2024 | Statutory Rape Laws
www.oklahomalegalgroup.com
From this link:
“Defendants accused of statutory r*pe often claim they had no reason to know their partner was underage. The defendants may argue that the victims misrepresented their age, and that a reasonable person would have believed such representation.
Even if this is true, Oklahoma does not allow a defendant to rely on a mistake of age to avoid a sex crime conviction for statutory r*pe. Statutory r*pe is a strict liability crime, so a malicious intent or a “guilty mind” is not necessary. All that matters is the age of the alleged victim and whether the sexual conduct actually occurred.“

The one question everyone should be asking is would the Thunder be doing this if there was a chance of any real blowback? The answer is no. If it is shown that the Thunder is supporting a plausible explanation given by an employee I would hope everyone would respect that until it’s proven differently.
I’m confident the Thunder handled it right the first time. Don’t really care about other teams, in fact I never mentioned other teams. You keep trying to act like the Thunder are somehow handling this better than other teams would and/or that they deserve some benefit of the doubt that other teams don't.
They aren't handling this any differently than other team would. Giddey has an off the court issue that could put him in legal jeopardy, they obviously have received his side of the story, are choosing to side with their player and if necessary, will adjust their handling of it as more info comes out.
It's no different than any other team would do and they don't get any benefit of the doubt that other teams don't.

You believe what you want. If you think all organizations are created equal you are very wrong.Yeah, we know what you're doing.
If they are "handling it right" they are doing what every other team would do.
Not as lucky as Arkansas Williams making two threes with his eyes closed.Giddey lucky he is at home today obviously

We don’t know that, don’t know how you can say that. All I’m saying is I’m confident I won’t have to say I was wrong for trusting their judgement. There are teams I most certainly would not say that about and shouldn’t.lol
When did I say that?
So far, they haven't handled this any differently than any other team would. Not in any way and it's unlikely that they will. There's something of a blueprint for this type of situation that comes from the league office.
They're following it to the letter, just like any other team would.
The Thunder bench is strongMarcus Morris -10, Pat Bev -11. Quarter changed when the bench came in.
22%You might want to check his percentage
That had nothing to do with the Thunder. You can’t run offense through Pat Bev and Marcus Morris is a zero at both ends. The Thunder bench is strong
43.1 for his career
