It depends on who else is in on it. We have been saying all summer that the Heat don’t have much of anything to offer. They need to be the only team in, or one or two teams in, or the only team willing to go to a certain level for them to come out on top.

Lavine’s contract is scary. It’s a lengthy deal for big money. That may keep suitors away.

Yeah his contract and knee make him worth less than dame despite being younger

I would say the heat have enough if I was the heat gm

But I’m probably low man on lavine

So naturally, he’s a perfect fit for the sixers…

You got 2 firsts Jacques jovic too

There’s enough of a package around all that to work with to get lavine imo
I dont want lavine after thinking about it. He isn't that good to give up everything you mentioned. He is slightly better than herro so wont move the needle much. They should aim for Caruso instead

Knicks have enough guards

One of the clippers forwards would be a better fit for them

Utah would be fascinating but they need a true pg, they have enough combo guards

Wizards trading for him would be the most wizards thing ever

That’s a fair and reasonable trade

But again, I’m low man on lavine

If the Bulls are trading Lavine, DeMar will soon follow (or at least ask out). Bulls will need to take back SG to replace Lavine; they don't have any real depth at SG beyond more PGs.

Me too. Lakers are also reportedly inquiring about Caruso. Carter would be of interest too IMO. Lakers could use a defensive PG in the mix if they're not sold on Vincent (who hasn't played enough to be properly evaluated yet, back next week perhaps?).

Heard good Sixers scuttle butt immediately after Shams ran with report yesterday. If it’s a Bull for the Sixers it’s Caruso but as we said yesterday, that’s a crowded group kicking the tires on him.

Still can't believe the Lakers weren't willing to match that contract a few years back. Huge flub, both in terms of basketball and keeping a fan favorite.

It was a tax issue for them

And a miss

They’ve been connected to lavine for a while

So I’ll believe it when I see it

I will say if I was them I might try for cheaper solutions so I could still have cap space to sign OG while l still making adds

Overpaying for Caruso might be worth that alone.

He replaces mElton for next year and you still have room to sign OG

“Connected” can mean many different things. I don’t think they’re in that market anymore with what they’ve seen from Maxey. They need 3 n D to catch and shoot on the opposite side of the Maxey/Embiid action.

Yep. You just laid out the homerun. I would prioritize getting first crack at OG with their tradeable picks over acquiring Caruso. But if they feel confident about OG’s signability in Philly, I send 2 firsts and salary for Caruso. I’d be willing to part with BBall Paul and Springer in a Caruso deal. However, if BBall Paul goes, I want the deal expanded to include Drummond cause I need a back up 5 I can trust. Mo Bamba isn’t that guy.

They might totally blow it up and trade DD, Lavine and Caruso. Vucevic just signed an extension but it's a very tradeable one.
