Was happy to see the pacers lose last night. But didn’t think it would of been as close as it was

Pacers choked that one away at the end of regulation. Sloppy with the ball in key moments (and solid ball pressure from the Celtics).

He only made 14 starts.

In 81 games.

But those games were what elevated his status. I'm not saying it's a damning statistic, just what some people are leaning on when choosing someone else for that award. I can see both arguments.

Man I wanted him in FA last summer...

Yes

Need a good pg and young players mentor

Not a coincidence the young players in okc, pho and gs thrived with Paul there

As long as you're not counting on him for a post season run, it's all good. He's somehow cursed in that way.

A very weird fit for them.

I’d rather go for Paul and a shooter

You don't consider DLo a shooter? Top 20 3p%, top 10 3pa. Shot better than Klay and Curry last year. 2nd most points scored of the top 20 3p% guys in 2023/24.

Was more referring to their interest in klay

Hearing GS wants to try and trade for Ingram. That would be interesting.

Would have to be a Wiggins package with 2 of the younger prospects. They will want to keep Kuminga (which might not be a deal killer since he would play Zion's position). However, I'm sure the Pelicans want a PG out of the deal, and not CP3's $30M option. Podz isn't really a true PG and Payton is more perimeter defender than true PG as well.

The Cavs seem a much better fit with whichever PG they don't keep IMO.

Sure, but Klay wasn't as good as DLo in shooting percentages last year and is on the decline. I would think they want to add both regardless, which is why the Lakers might still be able to get some trade value out of DLo if he chooses the Magic, to preserve that cap space for Klay.

I could see the Pelicans taking back CP. Nice way to end his career and he would fit what they need for 25-28mpg and in the 4th quarter. McCollum can focus on being a scorer. They would just need a backup PG which is easier to find than a starting PG.

And the Warriors would have to include a younger player plus a pick or so.

The Warriors can be a smaller team (which is what it seems like they want to be) with Steph, Klay (if he stays), Ingram, Wiggins and Dray.

Ugh, no. CP3 at this point is a depth player at reduced minutes. At his $30M option, he's most of what they would get in trade for Ingram. The Warriors are very limited in what they can do, being over the 2nd apron. S&T for CP3 at a lower number is not one of those things. They can at most include 2 future 1sts currently.

For a mentor I get it but he can't offer much more than that. Depends on salary. I am guessing the MLE

Yeah Ingram isn't as valuable as he was maybe a couple years ago but no way the W's give up Kuminga. I'm not sure why NO would want Wiggins, He is older but better contract the next 2-3 years and won't have to pay him the max. So from that standpoint it makes sense. Maybe pick up a draft pick or young player but not Kuminga. Like you said, need is PG but if they trade Ingram they still need a replacement for him

Wiggins is the key as the only matchable salary the Warriors would offer that could fit the roster, not as a requirement from the Pels.

I really don’t care what the Hawks want, I just want a chucker in LA.

He's a decent fit with AD, but not so much with Lebron. Trae pouts on the court when the ball isn't in his hands.
