76ers are scrambling because they know that the road going forward will be more than bumpy for them.

Brown and Tatum scored 28 of their 32 3rd quarter points and sat the entire 4th along with Porzingas and White.

For the second time this season, Celtics scored over 40 points in the first period.

^^^Clueless take. This solidifies Embiid not asking out because:
1. They have options for trade this season or cap space this summer to add to the group
2. Maxey looks like he is going to be one hell of a Robin to Embiid’s Batman. Prior to Harden, Embiid’s actions leaned heavily on DHO. He’s got the best DHO pairing of his career now in Maxey.

I think it’s OKC’s 2026 pick. I think the Thunder still have Clippers 2026 pick which given the choice, that’s the one you want. Kawhi PG13 Harden and Westbrook all gone by then.

And? That’s only a trade for $18 million of player. That leaves 39 million of expiring in Harris alone and in total the potential for 84 million of expiring this summer leaving the Sixers some 30-50 million in cap relief to shop before they redo Maxey and his ridiculously low cap hold giving him a max. Sixers will continue to be a luxury tax team.

I’m still there. I don’t want a malcontent. When a player wants out of Philly…bye. I’ll go and pack his bags and take him to the airport. If he opted in and played on a show me deal with a great attitude I’m welcoming 21/10 with open arms. Harden makes the Clippers better. That’s an easy projection. Kawhi and PG13 are going to get better shots than they have been getting.

Would be silly for him and the Clippers to not take advantage of his Bird rights and flip him either before the deadline or via S&T over the summer. Will there be any takers at a useable value is the bigger question I guess.

I don’t think they even have his Bird rights. I have to look into that further but based on following the story this summer part of the issue is that you can’t resign Harden until end of the league season June 30th (or whatever the date is) and the acquiring team doesn’t get his Bird Rights.

They took back the Clips washed trio. Trading a solid starter for 3 old depth guys that basically share positions isn't exactly value unless they flip those salaries with those picks for someone as of yet unknown option.

He picked up his option, so he was traded on his current contract. I don't know why they wouldn't have Bird rights.

The Clips have repeatedly turned over their roster without finishing below 10th since drafting Blake Griffin in '10/'11. Just because their guys are getting old doesn't mean they can't flip them. I wouldn't expect the Clips to dip too far.
