Brian Windhorst said the league sent out a notice midseason in January what the refs would be doing as a point of emphasis (something they do basically every year at the start and mid point of the season). This time around they said they would look at cutting back on calling fouls where the offensive player is the one trying to draw contact. It wasn't hidden. Teams are just bitching because they can't get easy calls now

It's gone beyond that though. They're allowing a lot more contact overall and aggressive teams like the Kings are taking advantage (or at least they have with the Lakers).

Of course, Giannis still gets his calls regardless.

This game not on AD IMO. Another horrible quarter (this time the third) with nothing but bricks and bad turnovers (DLo and especially Lebron were the most guilty) and they went away from Rui, who was very effective in the first half.
