It was when the Bulls played
90s Bulls games were better than good games today? Not to me. Not a fan of those kinds of scores.

Here are the scores of the 6 NBA finals games of 1998 (Jordan's last title)

88-85, 93-88, 96-54, 86-82, 83-81, 87-86

Now, today scores have probably gone too far the other way but it's still more fun to me now vs then. This does add to Jordan's case as GOAT though, he was scoring so much when overall scoring was so much less. Then again that was partly because he was the kind of player who did all the scoring, the team concept wasn't as strong with him

Yet the team was extremely strong

Yeah pretty sure like most I have the 1996 Bulls as an all time great team. I meant the entertainment value of those kinds of scores vs today.

So it was 4 years ago today that the Chinese used Rudy Gobert to shut down the NBA.

Biggest nothing ever lol

A lot of people owe him an apology

Millions are no longer alive to disagree with you, but that’s for another place. I was keeping it to basketball.

Ehh, I'm not a fan of the 3 pt attempt, def rebound, 3 pt attempt, def rebound tennis-style action we get too often these days.

Those happen sometimes but the spacing and pace still make for mostly fun possessions. Better than 84-79 scores still IMO

A lot of soft big guys choose the NBA over football. It's from a lack of father figures.

Unless you are a QB…

Anyone good enough to be a first round pick in the NBA would be very foolish to choose football unless they were just much better at football.

Fully guaranteed contracts, longer careers and larger earning potential make the NBA a way better job opportunity.

Exactly the same thing with baseball over football. Outside of QBs (and only the good ones) football players are much worse off than those other 2 sports

I guess.....but seems like the best of the best (or at least considered best of best before pro career begins) would have a better shot to make it in pro football than baseball.

Perhaps, I don't follow that part of it closely. Just thinking it's rare for a guy who could go pro in both basketball and football or baseball and football to choose football. Not never just rare.

Yeah, that is the problem with baseball.

Top prospects who bust don’t end up making all that much because they don’t make it to the show.

At least an NFL top rookie gets the first couple years of a rookie contract.

Unless you get a killer signing bonus, I don’t think that baseball is necessarily that much better of a bet than football.

I hear ya, just saying baseball to football not the same as bball to football. In bball if one of the best it's straight to the NBA and a fully guaranteed deal. Baseball you get your signing bonus but that's it.....then a long time in the minors.

But if you are saying if a guy KNOWS he will be at or near top of profession then baseball a better choice for sure I'd think.

Decent signing bonus and that's about it, correct? Thinking even the top bonuses are "only" 10 mil at most.

And, sure, that's a lot.....but not close to what a top NFL guy will get.

Plus there are simply a lot more well paid nfl jobs without the minors
