The one where he flashes as more than a role player for awhile and everyone forgets what he is.

Of course he helps when he is on the floor. He is a great 4th/5th best player for a team who gets consistently gets over paid because he convinces people his peak outbursts will last this time.

This contract might be the first time he is properly paid, but I am confident he will peak at the right time so he can decline the player option and get over paid again soon.

I hate the Lakers and I enjoy their poor coaching choices immensely.

But, as an objective basketball fan, seeing D Lo benched at crunch time is sometimes perplexing.

I get needing a defensive presence is sometimes necessary.

But, when that guy isn't stopping anyone, and also isn't providing offense, why is D Lo on the bench?

Wouldn't it be better to have the threat of scoring, no defense on the floor , over no scoring and still no defense?

there is enough tape on him he's going to be in that 20 mil range and nothing more. Unless someone like Charlotte overpays.

I mostly buy this but I've not seen anyone claim he's a 1 or 2. I think the "love" comes at the concept that a team like Atlanta wouldn't take him on any level...which I get he's a bad fit next to an even worse defender but he's not anywhere near zero value as Atlanta appraised him.

His contract was zero value for them as they were trying to get expiring deals to get below the tax line next year

Garland has to be the worst player in the league late in games. The Cavs offense late in games is non-existent. Sickening to watch

He's hard to watch....but Mitchell often does the same. If we have the lead with 4-5 left it's time for hero ball with one of them. Usually Mitchell if available.

will say while still hard to watch garland did make a couple big shots in OT along with a couple passes that led to fouls and FTs.

Overall a nice game.
