Actually right after I wrote this comment I made a mock of my own with one trade :laugh3:

So there you go, at least one. But honestly I hope there are a ton of trades. Makes it very interesting and a lot of fun
Honestly I'm just hoping for someone to trade up for Isaiah Simmons

I could see the Raiders pulling the trigger but keeping the #12 and grabbing CD Lamb is also a great fit

Hope the Browns will honestly if he falls to 7

If so, how would you think the Browns would try to use Simmons?

He is pretty versatile. I could see him being a 4-3 cover guy that can also rush the passer at times, could also seem him playing inside some. I mean he just that great of an athlete

I would move him to Safety.
then when they go custom defenses where you have only 2 LBs you really still have another LB in there if they run.
If Simmons fals to around #10 I hope the Cowboys trade up for him. & I hardly ever want to trade up.
Last time I ever wanted to move up for a LB was Patrick Willis.

Would be exciting, no doubt......just not sure the Browns value the position enough to use the 10th pick on him.

I do, however, think there is a decent chance he gets to 10.

Wasn’t peppers who was sent to the giants supposed to be the same as people are saying about Simmons?

He was a safety primarily but no, he is not even close to the level of Simmons and he was a late 1st rounder.
Simmons can rush the passer, he can cover TE's/slot WR's but primarily a LB. A Darius Leonard basically with much more athleticism.

Yeah, I was thinking he was being hyped like that before that draft. Probably not as much as Simmons though

Yeah, not nearly to this level. Simmons is like a top 3 prospect in this draft in a very very deep draft. Browns also had a different DC last year....I still think the Browns go OT and Simmons is gone way before #10

Got some hype. Going by memory, but thinking most saw Peppers as mid-late 1st at best.

a poll of 1000 steelers fans show an overwhelming majority would like them to draft a RB with their top pick.

Also that majority have zero interest in jameis winston, wtf is the wrong with them.....

To match up with his athletic talent he almost has to play off the ball to use his speed which imo make him less enticing as a top 10 pick even though he's a freak and will go probably to the NYG at 5. You can have a badass off the ball LB and be just an okay DEF...Kuechly and CAR as an example.

I'd move him around, but he's probably ideally a weak side 43 LB, that you can blitz, but covering has to be in the mix running 4.3.

yeah the only RB i see DEFINITELY being gone is swift. Still think its so stupid

IDK.

If you take Swift (any top tier RB) at the bottom of the 1st vs top of the 2nd.

1st rd
  • 5 yr control at a reasonable rate
  • Ability to tag
  • 6 yrs or production with only 1 yr top RB pay

2nd rd

  • 4 yr control at a better rate
  • Ability to tag
  • 5 yrs of production with 1 yr top RB pay.
