Well I can’t argue they’ve made some mistakes the past 20 years but the terrible franchise shade rings hollow coming from a Lions/Raiders fan. Cmon Bro
We know are own kind. :noidea:

There's a guy in the draft named Deebo...

Hope the Jets get him.

Ironically his last two picks were pretty solid
I think they were fine, but I think they could've had better players that would've addressed more important positions. I was shocked they didn't grab Sweat at 17, and with their below average OL play last year and further need to protect older Eli, they could've grabbed Jawan Taylor at the end of the first to upgrade the very bad Chad Wheeler at RT and suddenly have two solid bookends.

Rodgers had a terrible 1st season after being with the team 3 years previous. Had to build a team around him first. The OL and defense had to be built. The only reason the Packers could afford to draft Rodgers is because they already had Favre. Plus he was a value pick at #24. Alex Smith went #1 that year and Rodgers was the 2nd QB taken.
Yes, I get it. Are you being serious, though? You have seen it doesn't matter what is around Rodgers. he is a star.

Colts should have passed on Manning.....and Luck?

And Gettleman is getting universally ripped to shreds for it. Cheers, you sided with a complete idiot.

Shame Jones didn't have the opportunity to be passed up by 3 teams in desperate need of a QB like Haskins did. Tough to do for a can't miss prospect.

He was also drafted by the team in the NFL that was #1 in QB need, too, so its not a great look for Haskins. If he was a top tier prospect, someone would've traded in front of Washington.

This is the most risk-averse draft I've ever seen, though. I think Rosen tanked Haskins and Locks QB value which was probably already shaky to begin with.

No, but then there are no QBs in this draft that are anywhere near Manning or Luck. For that matter, nearly any draft. As a genral rule, you don't build a team drafting a QB with the first 5 picks.

I remember when we still had the #17 pick there were fans who wanted the Browns to get Greedy at all costs...trade up if need be.

More proof ESPN could get fans to believe anything about a player.

You build a team by finding a QB, whether that be sucking the right year to get him near the top of the draft or lucking into him with a mid or late round pick.

You don't pass on one you love because you don't think there's enough around him.

I can't really tell what angle you're trying to take here. Why was that a shame for Jones? Who said Haskins is a "can't miss prospect"?

We'll have to agree to disagree. A QB puts you over the top, but 1st you have to get near the top. We have different approaches is all. I'd build a defense first.

Reach based on what? Mocks by guys who don't run real drafts?
Its the Raiders. I'm just going to assume its a reach.

If it was the Patriots, I'd probably go back and watch some film and wonder why I was so wrong.

I'm being a little sarcastic but this was a franchise defining draft for the Raiders. I'm kinda glad with who they picked.
