Seahawks have a history of taking players that they feel will fit there system, that others don't get. Seems to have worked out OK for them. They got a bunch of picks still to make also.

I get it. Metcalf was a good pick that fell to you. They’ve been trading back nicely but the other 3 they could have gotten later IMO

Outside of Metcalf, all their picks were technically 'reaches'. Seattle traded back a ton and acquired a lot of picks today so my thought is they were running out of trade partners and basically said, "Oh fuck it, just take the guy we want now."

I understood Collier (and liked it - I think late 2nd is pushing it, I think he would've gone early-mid 2nd), I loved the Metcalf pick - it's an immediate end zone/deep threat, if you have a 1/1 option just fucking chuck it to him)...

As for Blair and Barton... these were puzzling picks to me. Blair was actually under 190 lbs a couple times during the year... he's an aggressive player and from what I WATCHED (Pac-12 fan) a great tackler, but it seemed SUPER early for him. Still... because Carroll is a defensive minded (specializing in secondary) coach who generally has success with those picks, I'll give him the benefit of the doubt. Barton is... interesting. Maybe just for depth or to shore up our terrible special teams coverage?

Frank Clark if I recall got a C grade from a bunch of analysts too and was considered a reach, so whatever. Seattle's drafts are always unorthodox and outside of 2010 (where basically everyone got an A grade) have always been marked up with D-C grades and the word 'reach' plastered all over the fuckin' articles. Mel Kiper blasted Seattle for taking Wagner and not Kendricks and called it a major reach, as well. Right...

Clark frank!!! Dammit that guy sucks

But Blair over the Huskie Rapp was bad. Thank you though :suds:

I did really want Adderley or Rapp with that pick. I thought both were better safeties and clearly I've watched a lot of Rapp. The hometown guy would've been a fun story too as he's probably a Seahawks fan, followed ET/Kam close, and would want to try as hard as possible.

That said, I'm sure Carroll OBVIOUSLY is aware of that... there's a reason he took Blair. I guess we'll see in a couple years if the pick was retarded and Carroll/Schneider were binge drinking the night before, or why you and I aren't being paid the big bucks. It will be painful if Rapp succeeds (which I think he will) watching him take it to Seattle twice a year... and he gets to learn behind TWO of the better safeties in the NFL.

Still, can't lie and say I didn't want Rapp or Adderley though, lol. And of course :suds:. Draft starts in 12 minutes, pour yourself a drink *drinks his own*

My Day 3 predictions for the Steelers: RB, OLB, TE, S, O-Line, D-Line

No K or P please. Not that they don’t need upgrades to either, just not in the draft.

So who takes Hakeem Butler? I had him as a top 3 WR prospect heading into the draft. Absurd that he’s still there

Also surprised the Penn St CB is still there

He is big and fast but too many dropped passes. I expect he'll go in the 4th round.

Seahawks should.

Butler and Metcalf with Lockett. Could be deadly.

Who I think will take him: no clue lol

id prefer one who can run a route tree, has some hands, and doesnt fall with directional cuts
So strength matters. Good so we don't ever need to bring that up again. Thanks
