It's coming from Bolsinger and Lee (if we ever get that chance), too.

#TradeForChampmanAndCueto

SP - Cueto
RP - Chapman

Reds get:

OF - Andre Ethier
SP - Zach Lee
2B - Darnell Sweeney
MiLPYNO

Sure it might be coming, but I like Bolsinger and Lee's chance to become more consistent than Frias. Bolsinger and Lee are superior starting options to Frias.

And Cincy probably hangs up before the full deal is layed out.

Agree with MVPuig- I would love that deal, but what does it do for Cincy?

"Hey, it's Andrew. I'm interested in Cueto. Alright, so, we'll start with Andre Ethi..."

As others have already said, that's not even close to what it would take to get them, and it will never happen!

It's just about impossible to predict the terms of a trade. I was just having fun.

Oh and "what does it do for Cincy?"

They'd get a cheap Ethier. A cost-controlled young starter. Brandon Phillips' replacement at 2nd base. And a MiLPYNO because these deals always seem to have a few of those included.

As I've said earlier, you have every right to throw something like this out there, I'm just saying it's very unrealistic! I also don't agree with getting Chapman, while he is one of the best closers in baseball I'm perfectly fine with Jansen.

You don't get Chapman to replace Jansen. You get Chapman because he's one of the best relievers in the game and he's available in trade talks. If there's a world you live in where you don't want Chapman on your team, have at it.

I don't believe in bullpen roles. I believe in having the best arm in the highest leverage situations. Having Joel Peralta throw to the heart of the lineup in the 8th while you save Jansen for the bottom of the lineup in the 9th (assuming Peralta gets them all out) is an infuriating strategy from my perspective.

Here are the 5 guys that are pretty regularly connected to the Dodgers by rumors and/or logic:

Johnny Cueto
Scott Kazmir
David Price
Jeff Samardzija
Cole Hamels

They're all top-of-the-rotation starters and any one of them would instantly be at least the 3rd best arm in the staff. Except for Hamels, they're all rest-of-season rentals as well. Personally, I'd like to see the Dodgers trade for two of them. If I had to rank them in order of how much I'd like to see them in a Dodgers uniform, it probably looks like this:

1. Price
2. Cueto
3. Hamels
4. Kazmir
5. Samardzija

Welp, take Kazmir off the list. He was just traded to the Houston Astros for prospects.

Dark horse trade target could be Hisashi Iwakuma. He'd come cheap, he looks like he might be turning things around for the better in is more recent starts, and the Mariners have to be looking to shed him.

Obviously, adding him should be considered a move done to supplement whatever trade for the "Big 3" still available in Cueto/Hamels/Price. Of course, Price's availability is a little wishy-washy. Detroit is not quite ready to admit that they're sellers, yet.

Leaving the trade deadline with a rotation of:
1. Kershaw
2. Grienke
3. Cueto/Hamels/Price
4. Anderson/Bolsinger
5. Iwakuma/Latos/Lee

Still not the sexiest in those last 2 spots, but a formidable playoff rotation if that's what the top 3 looks like.

I wouldn't mind getting a Shields or Gallardo level-pitcher. The Dodgers seem reluctant to move their most valuable pieces anyway, which isn't a problem with me.
