I was actually a big fan of the Latos acquisition and I still think the guy can pitch. It just didn't work out in the short term here in LA. Some team is probably gonna get a great bargain on this guy after the way this season ended for him. Heck I wouldn't mind bringing him back on a 1 year prove it deal ala Anderson if that becomes necessary.
In other news, looks like Bolsinger is toast. I wonder how close he is to being a non-tender candidate this winter (hopefully not very close at all).
You gotta figure that if the Dodgers are going to be active in the trade market this winter, guys like Frias, Bolsinger, Lee, and Wieland could be looking like they're on their way out.
I wonder how much trade value Zach Lee has at this point. I mean, someone's gotta think highly of him - maybe as much value as Eovaldi did?
I'm positive Bolsinger's hurt. He was just playing through it because he wanted to make the playoff roster. I saw him grab at his hamstring (or in the area) after almost every pitch, his right leg looked really loose on his delivery too. Coaching staff has been watching him closely in his last couple of starts. I'm sure he's not this terrible.
Two great starts to end the regular season for Wood and Anderson. Really impressed with both of them.
When Alex Wood is on, he is ridiculously efficient. It's just a matter of time before he throws his first Maddux (should've had one this year but Mattingly pulled him too early).
Glad to have Anderson back. 1 year at 15M is almost zero risk for this club and it doesn't hamper the ability to re-sign Greinke and/or go after someone like Price, Cueto, or whoever.
