So this is officially what I want the Niners to do in the first round.
Plan A: Stay put and take Louis Nix (maybe trade up a few spots to make sure the Pats don't get him)
Plan B: Trade up into the 20's & take Bradley Roby.
Plan C: Trade up to the teens & take Brandin Cooks (the best WR in the draft).
Plan D: Trade back into the late 30's for Verrett.
Plan E: Trade the pick for a late 2nd & a first rounder next year; target Marcus Martin or Donte Moncrief
Plan F: Trade back into the late 40's / early 50's & take Jordan Matthews
Plan G: Trade way up & take Gilbert.
Boom. Lock it in. That's my final answer Regis.
I like the idea of a big time # 1 WR, but is receiver one of the positions that not many really shine there first year? I seem to remember most rookie WR's having ho hum years.
I think they draft one as an eventual replacement for Boldin and/or Crabtree. A 1st year receiver isn't seeing many snaps in our offense. That's why I'm kinda hesitant to use the 1st rounder on a WR. Instead, we might be able to get a CB that can start from day 1.

I was going to say that letting players choose their own entrance music is ANOTHER small annoying tidbit the NFL has come up with to tailor the draft to the common, every day, run-of-the-mill, semi-at-best intelligent fan, but the fact that around 1/4 of the players have chosen either a Drake or Kanye West song makes my blood boil even more. It's not shocking, though.
