I'd be shocked if Bama got in at this point, even with a curb-stomping of the barn. The playoff committee looks at potential, and without Tua - Bama just ain't got it, especially in light of both their current running game and defense.

On Tua, I like the idea others have raised of his red-shirting next season to heal up and possibly get ready to play a final season as a fifth-year senior (if possible).

You've got like 3 QB's waiting in the wings and if they do that they are going to risk several of them transferring. Red shirts are already burned so you're basically asking at least two guys to wait an additional 2 years.
