Try to keep up, Pete Nice. Paydirt said Cano was the best defensive 2nd baseman in the league. He's not close. Brandon Phillips is much better. So is Utley. Pedroia is better. So is that Altuve guy for HOU(not that you've ever seen him play before). Howie Kendrick is better. There might be 3-4 more. Cano's defense gets overrated quite a bit. Probably because he's on the Yankees, but that's just a working theory.

One of those big issues is the reckless accusations that members of the media will make about a player from time to time. Mostly because you'd really hate it if the 24-game hitting streak you're planning on starting when you finally get off the DL would be spoiled by some NY Post columnist who'd write anything to keep his job in a very tough media landscape.
