I just wanted 1 location where we can visit some of your comments and here your thoughts in hindsight.
Like how the ravens have lost a ton of players but got better.
Or how Doom and Suggs were going to keep Manning on his back all game.
Or how Ladarius Webb was going to shut down all our receivers.
Or how Flacco is Elite and will have all day to throw.
Or any number of dumb statements you made.

If you had not talked so much trash while drowning in purple kool-aid everything would have been cool. Just know that anything you say in relation to football is worthless.

Well, in defense Dumervil and Suggs both posted sacks on Manning..... It was more than I expected to see from Dumervil...:noidea:

However, last night showed Denver did a pretty good job at replacing Dumervil w/ a better all around player.

The fact Denver has 4 very dangerous receivers on offense should give every team pause, but the Ravens were especially ill equipped to handle them all.

Dumervil had the tiniest impact I've ever seen from a guy who got a sack. The way Thomas tried to block him on that play I think anyone posting here could have picked up that sack. Outside of that, he had one other tackle. Add in the fact that the Ravens d gave up 460 passing yards and 7 passing touchdowns and I'd say nobody on the Ravens d has anything to brag about.

However, last night showed Denver did a pretty good job at replacing Dumervil w/ a better all around player.

Agreed. 2 and 1/2 sacks from his replacement, Shaun Phillips. And I thought Fox and del Rio came up with a great scheme to manufacture pressure in the second half.

The fact Denver has 4 very dangerous receivers on offense should give every team pause, but the Ravens were especially ill equipped to handle them all.

I don't know how anybody stops them. Look at it this way; Decker was awful last night, going into the 4th quarter he had 1 catch for 6 yards. Through 3 quarters, Demaryius Thomas was quiet, he had 2 receptions for 47 yards. That's Denver's top two receivers from last year with a combined 3 receptions for 53 yards, and yet the Broncos had 35 points on the board.

The way I see it, there's only 2 ways the Broncos lose this season.

1. Manning is off his game. Whether due to the weather, or just having a bad game, he makes mistakes and isn't accurate.

2. A team with a great d line can consistently get pressure from just their front 4, allowing them to drop 7 into coverage. If you blitz, Manning will kill you. If you sit back, he'll wait for someone to break open and pick you apart. You've got to be able to apply consistent pressure with just your front 4 to slow this offense down. That's the only way I see to do it.

i love ho people think fans of their team shouldn't be optimistic, it's always makes me laugh. Sorry for supporting my team, next time i'll remember that when you make a prediction that supports your team and you're wrong.

Ravens fans still don't seem to get it. Supporting your team is perfectly fine. Acting like obnoxious jerks is something else. Leading up to this game, at least on this board, we saw a lot more of the latter than the former.

Right, I'm the troll. Because I'm the one posting on another team's board, right? Oh no wait, that's not me. Again, there is a difference between supporting your team and being obnoxious. I understand it, it seems that you and your buddy Tgann don't.

That's what I was saying  Doesn't really matter who we play if we come out and play like we did in the 2nd half. From the 2nd quarter on we put on a clinic. The game wasn't as close as a the score would show either. Easily could've been 49-17.

Welker doesn't muff that punt and Travaythan holds on the the damn ball and it's 56-17

That's pretty much Dumervil's MO. Was VERY apparent last season. You look carefully at his stats and where/when he got his sacks and they were against weak blockers.

90% of Ravens fans were completely obnoxious before last years regular season game, and before and especially after last years playoff game.

So I guess perspective on your team is one thing, but here is the reality of it.

Ravens may have won the Lombardi last year, kudos. They played well when it counted.

But in head to head competition, The Broncos have blown the Ravens out twice in the last 9 months, and the Ravens got by with a lucky non call on PI that turned into a pick 6 and some blown coverage that sent them to OT where they win by a FG. Not exactly domination.

The "Prayer in Thin Air" has turned into the "Nightmare in Thin Air".

Neither were we. Can't lump everyone in with all the posters on the now defunct CBS sports board. I'll say again, from my perspective Mcro was quite realistic in his expectations pre game.

Now I AM interested to hear his perspective on his Ravens now that game 1 is in the books. Are the expectations a bit more tempered on that defense and Flacco's receiving crew, for example?

I think he was referring to the idiotic things you girls say, and how you say it. I think most posters outside of ravenhood are fed up with you two and your stupid comments. run along now children and go post on your board about how happy you are that the ravens are so awesome.

oh and...thanks for taking Dumber vil looks like the Bronco's replaced him with a better overall player. and for 1/6th the cost.

The difference being that you and TGann could not admit that your team has taken a step back in any facet, following that with pictures of crappy looking SB ring and Rahim Moore's botched play. You were not just optimistic about your team but unrealistic.

For future reference, if you don't like interacting with other fans because we are "jerks", go to your own board. Everyone knows it could use the posts.

It always makes me laugh when an opposing teams fan comes onto the Broncos board and calls Broncos posters trolls. Very funny stuff.

As Morph said kudos on the SB LAST YEAR. But the optimism in Denver (this season) is high and in Baltimore it's what if's, and buts this morning....

Talking football does NOT = trolling

We had a great board at the one that closed down but the Ravens fans have NOT migrated to this one..I think its bc it seems a bunch were banned by Steelers jag off moderators...with that said...lets talk football not attack. get over it.

So far as the ravens getting their asses beat last night that's what happens sometimes loo at what the Ravens did to NE in last years AFCCG. It was a revenge game as well and we all know what happened... I see weaknesses in the Ravens especially in the def. backfield but I am not sure that "isn't" just a product of Peyton being Petyton. He can make the best of defenses look dumb as shit and has ALWAYS had Baltimores number. Some good things I saw is our D was able to hit him and sacked him twice which is rare. If you can hit Peyton you can decimate others bc he is that good.

Our running game needs a tune-up and clearly our wrs were not on the same page but then again when JJones went out it left Flacco with Stokely(who he has been throwing to for a month) and Brown who is a rookie and seemed lost at times. Cro' did a tremendous job covering Torrey Smith I give him credit.

Here is to a good year if the Ravens board had posters on this site id welcome you guys there but it doesn't. So im here.

Talking football definitely does not equal trolling. Coming on another teams board and saying how weak their team looks and how your team looks unstoppable is not the best way to lead to good debate. It pretty much makes you look like a troll and not a very good one at that

I seem to remember a discussion that Manning would not look that good if he were in the AFCN. I take it you have changed your tune? You guys did get some pressure which is a plus considering Manning and th e O-line the broncos have.

I think the ravens will bounce back. This was a wake-up call. They are going through some growing pains and will need time to get those out of their system. Your receivers have been hit hard with injuries and the replacements are not on the same page as Flacco yet. The good news is you go home next week and host the browns. I still see the ravens pushing for division lead. It will be interesting to see if the steelers can get back into it and if the bengals can finally turn the page.
