Agree. I am okay with stocking up our AA and up. I would be good with getting minor leaguers for Rios as well.

I hope they put Rios in some kind of package deal this offseason. Kinda dubious of us signing a FA pitcher. Hope I'm wrong there.

Some think Cotts will re-sign here in the offseason. We do seem to have an abundance of bullpen candidates.

I wouldn't hate on this. But to me, we captured as much magic from him as we can.

And like you said, we've got all kinds of options for the BP for next season.

Who do you guys have the most faith in of all the potential guys out of the pen for next year to close it out? For me it's Mendez. He throws strikes and has a good SO slider. Hell, he throws harder than Feliz. Scheppers doesn't throw enough strikes for me.

Today, I'd say Mendez.

But Feliz has the rest of this season and ST to pitch himself out, or in, the conversation for 2015.

I think we need to stockpile arms until we can find some healthy and that may be promotable at some point. I have little faith in guys like Scheppers, Ogando and others to round out the BP until they have proven completely healthy. The rest of the young guys we have used this year are still unproven IMO and I would like to see Klein and Claudio do well but think we will need a larger sample size.

He has been fortunate in some games that the opposition swung at bad pitches. His pitches just look fat to me.
