Problem is Herman is going to learn all the wrong lessons. He’s going to let Ehl stare down wide receiver screens for theee full seconds and then let him throw to those receivers three yards behind the line of scrimmage.
Try doing that against OU.

RBs, he’s still going to let them dance and kick it to the outside instead of sattacking.

All we can hope for is the secondary to make big plays and keep us in the game.

Texas is definitely not flashy. But basically for the last 3 or 4 games, they've got the ball in the fourth quarter with a lead, and ran out the clock.

For better or worse, that's the mold, what this team is.Won't be able to do it every week, but at this point of season you are what you are.

Ohhhh ... don't I know all about that!

Ball St & Vandy just this year … at home. :L
Well it may not be a sure sign of a team still learning how to win, but it's definitely a thing. At least it is with this bunch. They're just not good enough to be anything else.

They really didn't play all that bad today. We would have lost this game for like 10 years running. Adversity has crushed our weak minded team over and over again. Even offensively, the offense executed 4 scoring drives out of 8 opportunities. One missed field goal and one kneel down in field goal range took points off the board. Snyder played the game perfectly to keep it close. No doubt he's still Herman's mental superior.

I feel like we got the Grant Teaff treatment today. Is Snyder retiring? The refs give the other team over 100 yards of gifts and 0 to us, it's gonna be hard to win. Think about that, 11 penalties in a game that had like 130 snaps. I'm shocked we won, that's improvement.

I hate to be a bitch about penalties, but Snyder's teams never get called for shit when they hold their ass off. Ever...

I will say, I thought Todd Orlando called a bad game in the 2nd half. The safety blitzes over and over and over were dumb. Neither safety is currently a good blitzer.

On the WTF front:

Penalties
Texas 11
KSU 0

How in the hell do you justify that?

yeah, we used to get favorable calls. But karma is a bitch, and i'm not sure, but only think we've had one in the past decade. (Ehlinger not a safety against USC, when it appeared his knee was down).

Ugly win, but I’ll take it. Strong’s squad would have found a way to lose this one by 2 TD’s.

We used to be well coached. I think refs sometimes assume the best out of well coached teams. Hopefully, we will start getting the benefit of the doubt again soon. We've been sloppy for a long time and I think the refs get use to that.

Swear you sound just like an OU fan. All they do is complain how all bad calls are always on the sooners.:L

Go Longhorns. Go Texas.

I never bitch about calls, but 11 to 0 is kind of ridiculous...

Actually we got lucky on that holding-offensive PI offsetting penalties call.

Yeah true, and that was actually kind of a bull shit call on Kansas St to be honest.

Bottom line, when your team has been struggling for wins for some years, I'll take today in a heartbeat.
