Nice to get the series started with a big win over their ace. Oswalt also had a decent outing it looks like. Threw. 85 pitches, 55 for strikes. (though I think he may have wasted some pitches to get his work in), 5 hits, 3 ER, 1bb, no hr's.

We're not the only team whose manager makes questionable decisions. Scoscia just left Jerome Williams in too long (over 100 pitches) and his night came completely unraveled in the bottom of the 8th. They started the inning up 2-1 and it's now 5-2 Dodgers. Dodgers just need to hold the 3-run lead in the 9th and the Rangers are back to a 4-game lead in the loss column. Great day for the Rangers!!

I've said for a long time that Sciosia isn't nearly as good a manager as he gets credit for. In fact, I've seen him make several downright terrible calls.

Nah. They'll give him one more start at AAA at least. He only got through 3.1 innings, which didn't surprise me with him trying to get his work in. He had two clean innings and then an error and a couple walks ate him up. Hopefully it all comes together in his next start.

He has pitched well all year for the DBacks. More of a finesse pitcher but he 7ks so far tonite

I am with you and it seems like many of these late game changes by Wash have not gone our way so far this year
