Umps have been downright terrible this year. And MLB has allowed them to insulate themselves to the point that they can't do a damn thing about it.

In the real world, if you're as bad at your job as some of these umps are, you get fired.

Several MLB umps should be out of work. The Fox pitch tracker has been around for several years and this season has been far and away the worst I've seen from the umps compared to the pitch tracker. I've seen fans of other teams saying the same thing too.

One thing I will say in favor of TAG is that he isn't afraid to call out the umps on their bullshit.

Busby is too much of a spineless coward to agree with him.

Or at least that we know of. I know that a lot of behind closed doors stuff happens with complaints to the league and the umps getting citations for poor performance.

Not sure how much of that is going on, but I would hope a lot. It doesn't seem to be working if it is happening, though.
