With all the problems the team has, Hedges is the very least player to worry about.
Of course. This is the least of my worries
Just saying that Garver contract is money not well spent. Hedges my be a cheaper option
There could be better prob not defensively

Of course was hoping for the guy now on AZ but that was a longshot

They added a guy for defense a little over a year ago and several thought he would be around this year. They moved on from him at the end of last season, and I am hoping they move on from Hedges as well. They can do much better than him.
Y’all seem over touchy re Hedges.

Bigger fish to fry IMO

I am so rooting for Texas to win here but after last night it is hard to not see the Astros winning this one
First two games were kind of a tease. We barely won both of them. It stinks but Houston is just better than us in every way. I think Phillies will beat the Astros in the WS and eventually this hurt will subside.

Verlander isn't losing twice to Texas so the series is basically over.

Fact is you need a healthy deGrom and a much better bullpen to be legit WS contenders.

The Rangers release some seats for today's game. They range from $100 to $750.

There are much, much bigger fish, but with a roster of only 26, you could fry all of them if you wanted to.

Hey man a play-off win (even if it's by 1) is huge! deGrom getting hurt certainly hasn't helped thats for sure

I think had Scherzer and Gray stayed healthy, we would have been fine, starting pitching-wise. That is the problem though. We have several pitchers who simply cannot be counted on to be healthy when the bell is rung. DeGrom, Scherzer, and Gray being on the same team is a bad combination.

DeGrom can not be counted on as our ace. Too many injuries. Monty is our ace at this time imo. Eovalti is great but also injury prone now. Lot of work to do.

The problem is deGrom is going to miss a lot of time most every year. Maybe not as much as this year or next year, but still a lot.

From now on, I hope we do not sign or trade for any more deGroms or Sherzers. No more aging guys who are going to be hurt a lot. I can't blame anyone for acquiring deGrom because I was all for it at the time. No more though.

Bradford and Dunning looked bad tonight, but they are young and still learning. I would like to see both of them in the rotation next year. I remember how bad Holland looked in the 2010 postseason. Then he came back a year later and pitched the best game in franchise history, given the setting.

Next postseason, maybe Bradford and Dunning can pitch games similar to that one by Holland against St. Louis.
I completely agree. Montgomery trade was good even though I didn’t want to part ways with T.Saggese. We already have Jung at third so the trade made sense as long as we can resign Monty. If he has another gem tonight you could be looking at a 5yr 125-130mil contract or more. He is only 30. Some guys are good in the reg season and even better in the postseason. We may have that guy.
I have been a huge Scherzer fan but I could see the regression in his game the last few years plus the injuries. I didn’t like the trade. Maybe we could have got some upgraded bullpen pieces for Acuna.
Whats done is done. I also wanted DeGrom and was super excited about the acquisition.
