I’m thinking Story goes to the Astros. He’s a little older than Correa and probably wants to be part of a winning team right away. The Astros have the money but don’t like super long contracts and they’ll need a legit SS. 6/$165

Semien to the Whitesox. They need a 2B, they traded Madrigal and declined Cesar Hernandez contract and their window is now! 5/$110

I’m thinking Javier Baez goes to the Tigers on a 7/$170.

Corey Seager and Correa 10 year $300 million each. Rangers get both.
Seager moves to 3B and Jung moves to 2B. Ibanez move to LF.
If you don’t have a core then buy one haha
(I know.. I know)

I think they Yankees have to much $$ tied up on long term deals with lots of years left to consider adding another one. I don’t see the Marlins dishing out such a large AAV contract that would be 1/2-1/3 of their payroll. They’re really trying to turn things around over there and if they bet wrong it could be devastating for their franchise.

Today is the last day for teams to issue qualifying offers to eligible free agents. Teams must make their decisions by 4pm CT, but the identities of some QO free agents have already been reported or even officially announced by their respective clubs. We’ll update this list throughout the day, but here are the players who already know will be getting the one-year, $18.4MM deal…

I wonder if we will make a run at Freeman?

NOVEMBER 7: The Brewers won’t issue a qualifying offer to Garcia or any of their free agents, MLB.com’s Tim McCalvy reports

"On the other hand, Garcia’s 2021 season — .262/.330/.490, 29 home runs, 18 doubles, eight stolen bases, strong right field defense — was certainly worth that $18.4MM. "

"Market context matters, too. There’s a fair number of corner outfield options on the market this winter, with Kris Bryant, Kyle Schwarber, Nick Castellanos, Starling Marte (who can also play center), Mark Canha, Michael Conforto, Jorge Soler and Eddie Rosario among the available options. Garcia falls into the middle of that group, but his stock could be strengthened by the fact that not every team will be able to afford the very top-of-the-market options. Garcia could well be viewed as one of the more palatable options in that next tier, offering a promising blend of power, athleticism and defense."

The Rangers are set to hire Tim Hyers as the club’s new hitting coach, ESPN.com’s Jeff Passan reports (Twitter link). Hyers was in demand after leaving the Red Sox coaching staff last week, Passan reports, and chose Texas multiple other suitors.

Hyers is a known quantity for Rangers manager Chris Woodward, as the two worked together on the Dodgers’ staff in 2016-17 when Woodward was the L.A. third base coach and Hyers was assistant hitting coach. Hyers moved from that role to the Sox, where he spent the last four seasons as Boston’s hitting coach (winning a World Series ring in 2018).

You think the Rangers will go after him and play Adolis Garcia in CF around 80 games with Avisail in RF 80 games with the other half having Adolis in RF and Avisail at DH?

I really have no idea. I mainly posted it for information purposes.

He does become more of a possibility without a QO as they will not sign 2 guys with one of those.

Just a few minutes left to make a QO.
