No More "Bullpen Failure"
I am not questioning trading him. I am questioning the assets they targeted in conjunction with the free agents they are targeting. Yes, they can flip them, but that usually brings back less than full value for a team in the situation we will be in.To get something for Gallo since he didn't agree to the contract they offered and then have assets to flip or do with as you wish.
Gallo never was going to be much more than a good defender and a guy with power that got on base. When it was really needed, the guy didn't get it done at the plate most of the time. Never hurt my feelings to see him go and get something vs. nothing for him in return
One thing I think I would like to see is a rethinking of how many MIF we need to pursue both in trades and in drafting.
Watch us go out and draft a SS with our top pick 8 months from now. Lol
