At first glance I thought he was up in years but he will be just 30 when the season starts. If he can keep from being hit by balls hit back up the middle he would be okay. I know his velocity was down some but he is the kind of pitcher a team wants in a big game in that he is mean as they come when the game is on. He backs down to nobody. I thought Verlander was about done when the Tigers traded him then he just turned it up a notch. Would not be surprised to see Mad get it all back together again. Something to think about.

I could see us striking out on all 3 then trading with the Yankees for a 3rd baseman. They would probably take minor or Lynn back tho. Hopefully it doesn’t come to that.

No to any trade that cost us 1 or both. Our projected rotation right now is decent and any subtraction drops it down to average or below average.

Don't want Donaldson. Not sure what we would have to give up for Bryant but this would be a good pickup for Gallo and the guy has the ability.

I keep hearing Andujar, but I'd rather have Urshela as a short term stop gap, Andujar is pretty bad defensively too... by time Urshela hits free agency it might be time to move on, he's already 28

The word now is that Cole “will go with the best value/deal regardless of geography,” Jon Heyman of MLB Network tweets. That certainly leaves the door wide open for the Yankees, who are reportedly preparing to put a big number in front of Cole, but it’s far from a done deal. It’s rumored that the Angels, Dodgers, Phillies, and Rangers are also in the hunt and it remains to be seen which team will separate itself from the pack.
