NFL Network is reporting that Case Keenum, not second string QB TJ Yates, will start at QB this week against KC. Figures to be a tough defense for him to face in his first start, but I won't be too surprised if Keenum plays well. I saw him a lot in college and some this past preseason and I think that he has a chance to be a pretty good player. Should be interesting.

I guess having lost 8 of it's last 12 games and thrown a pick six in each of its past five games might make the Texans a little desperate. Whether or not starting him is or isn't a desperation move, I do think he is likely to play well and run the offense effectively. Definitely a tough challenge at Arrowhead.

Look for the Texans to use Arian Foster more and to focus on their running game. Foster might be a good FF start this week because of the QB situation in HOU.

An effective running game would certainly figure to make life easier for Keenum. I'm sure that they will try to use that to set up the bootleg and other play action plays that they run.

Isn't Foster about as good a start as there is any week for a fantasy RB? I know my fantasy team has never been good enough that I would have benched Foster.

Chiefs are 2nd to last in the NFL in yards per carry allowed so a healthy dose of Foster and Tate sounds like a good plan to me for the Texans to stay in this one.

Care to list YPC allowed by team? More specifically to RB's. Wiling to bet that stat is deceptive.

Have opposing QBs and WRs made a lot of long runs against KC?

QB's yes

Vick and Pryor had several long runs. Can't say for sure, but I call bullshit on the 2nd worst ypc to RB's specifically. I would list them right now were I at my desktop to confirm my guess.

Broncos have played 5 of the same 6 teams as the Chiefs this year and are 2nd in the stat so not sure quarterbacks are specifically the problem. McCoy for example averaged close to 8 yards per carry against the Chiefs. The Giants averaged close to 5 yards per carry with Wilson, Scott, and Jacobs. Battle averaged 6.8 yards per carry.

Now yes some of that number is quarterbacks running on the team but with maybe about a 1/3 of the NFL now having running quarterbacks this is something they will be facing on a semi regular basis. The fact that some teams even without running quarterbacks have exploited the Chiefs in the run game should show that this is a possibility that teams could try more and more as the season progresses.
