I think you're a little crazy if you don't think the Chiefs wouldn't benefit from getting the Patriots in Arrowhead versus in NE. HFA isn't what it once was (and refs don't have insane biases towards home teams like they did maybe 20-30 years ago) across the NFL, but...

I didn't say they wouldn't. I don't think they will have a bye though. And I corrected myself when I realized that I was not talking about the Pats. It's important for the Pats, but it does nothing for the Bills. I mean Fitz is a gunslinger, but I don't think he's winning in that place.

Okay, yes, the Bills need to win to keep their hopes alive for winning the division. Any given Sunday. :rolleyes2:

:noidea:
I was responding to Boise State about Pats ability to lose to the Dolphins. Not meaningful or meaningless games.
Now I wouldnt bet on the Dolphins, but I wouldnt say it is a 100% that the pats win that game either.

I have seen stranger things.

I know we've seen strange things, but we're really underestimating how bad of a Dolphins team we're talking about here

the Patriots might be able to beat them using backups

It would be huge for the Bills to win in NE even if there were no chance for the division. That will send the message to all the teams the Bills will be a legit contender in the playoffs. The game means something for the Bills even if there were nothing on the line for this particular game.

Miami losses have cost NE HFA a few times in last 5 years

Division games can be hard no matter what at times.
No matter how good one is or how bad the other is.
It is not as uncommon as people think for division rivals to pull off upsets.

I mean I am still betting on the Pats in that game, but it wouldnt be completely surprising to see an upset.

I know they've given you guys a tough time on occasion, but that's usually with a 7-9 Miami team with inconsistent effort throughout the year. This year's Miami team is one of the worst rosters any NFL franchise has ever put out there

you’re right. And the pats usually handle the fins up north... especially late in the year. But don’t sleep on the former DC who is now the coach of the fins. That team is still playing hard.

They didn't prove that by winning in Pitsburgh?

I am sure they felt good about it.
but they are a borderline playoff team.
The Pats are one of the top playoff teams with the #1 defense.
Why you cant see they would go into the playoffs pumped up by beating the Pats right before they playoffs is beyond me.
Unless you are just looking to argue.
This is a huge game for the Bills no matter you spin it.

Really don't think the Bills can handle the Pats D, but I don't think the Pats O can handle the Bills D straight up either.

If it's just a matter of coaching to steal a few points or so, I am most always siding with the Pats, especially at home. I'll believe it when I see it from a Josh Allen offense. Can't just chuck it and hope John Brown catches up to it in NE.

I am not owned. I am not owned. I am not owned. I am not owned.

In terms of the playoffs this means nothing

In terms of attitude and wanting to beat your division rival who has tormented you for decades....this might mean more than a wildcard game

Maybe for their psyche. But I already buy the Bills.
