Why would that piss either of us off??

Realize the reality. Washington was the ONLY team willing to give Smith an extension. Most of the teams interested in trading for him wanted him as what he was, a one year stop gap while they brought the rookie they plan to draft up to speed.
Where was that reported? I could swear I read it somewhere, but I can't find it.

If Minnesota is not going with Bridgewater, Keenum or Bradford, they damn sure aren't going for another albeit somewhat better, version of those guys in Kirk Cousins. The best route for them knowing this is Nick Foles. Not only is he at this point a proven post season winner, but he would also come a lot cheaper than Kirk.

IMO, Minnesota just announced that they are out of the Kirk Cousins business.
The eagles have already robbed the Vikings once--the Bradford trade. I don't think Minny will fall for that again.

Yeah you're probably right about that, but if I'm in the Viking's place and Philly is intent on fleecing me again, I stick with one of the guys that I already know. So, it's either Foles, Bridgewater, Keenum and/or Bradford.

Not so sure the Iggles will part with Big Richard Nick until they are sure Wentz doesn't mean gone for half or more of the year.

Not sure if the idea of the Vikings trading for Foles is more of a concept based in reality.

or

Folks hoping Cousins ends up stuck choosing between the Brown, Cards and Jets.

But Im thinking the later is more likely.

@Sharkinva here is a theroy i came up with.. Jay gruden is friends with Zimmer Jay told zimmer take Kirk because gruden knows he will be fired next year because of rogue Allen ,, then Jay gruden becames the New OC in Minnisota thats some Csi drama for you .. YOU LIKE THAT !!!!!!... Because we all know gruden was in bed and he got up the next morning turned it to espn and seen he has no qb and he now has to work with aka old man alex so gruden is so mad that he will just give up this year.. the end.. CSI whoooo are you who who

I got one more realistic for you.

Bruce would rather lose a leg than ever admit he was wrong. Bruce was wrong on the QB he wanted, and the one he didnt want.

With no one to back him and Bruce tells Jay get on board or look for a job... Jay backed down and we ended up with Smith.

The End

I agree. Keenum is KC lite. Bridgewater in the other hand... is an intriguing prospect. I would have definitely taken a chance in him.
An injury waiting to happen.

Alex over Keenum all day long. That is not even a comparison. Why would anyone pay Keenum a one year wonder.
it most certainly is a comparison and one i made with facts unlike your use of the force

All Dean needs to hear is

This player was a first round pick

And he is sold. Much like Snyder apparently.

that statement right there makes you insane. You take a one year wonder and compare him to Alex Smith. What hate you have. It so obvious.

Well, to be fair he isn’t an option... yet. If a deal fails to transpire with KC, I would imagine the Vikes will resign at least 1 of the 3, my $$$ would be on Bridgewater.

And if Teddy hits FA, no guarantee he will sign with Washington, assuming we were even interested. Have to consider he is also risky proposition despite his upside. But there would be other teams interested in TB as well.

The FO took the safe road to bridge the team into the next young QB. A bird in the hand is worth 2 in the bush.

What. Foles has to be the worst option of those 4

That has to be weird for the Vikings. They were in the NFCCG and yet all 3 of the QBs on their roster are FAs.

It'll be interesting to see what kind of deal Bridgewater can land. I can't see a team committing a lot of money to him long term until they see if he can still play. Maybe he is Minny's backup plan in case they lose out on Cousins?

I would also take Alex Smith over Keenum and Bridgewater.
WTH! Minnesota has 3 FA QB's, that doesn't happen in this league! Lol...

OK, but we're not talking about folks who take a long view of him. In a what have you done for me lately league, are there questions regarding folks who now see him as that guy who, took over for Carson Wentz played as well as he did and ultimately became SB MVP? So, yeah while you and I might view him with a wary eye, let's remember that others may not. I suspect that there are some teams who would want that guy who we last saw playing as well as he did.

I mean sure...but my point is that out of those 4 QBs he's clearly the worst one for them to pursue.
