The #49ers have re-signed WR Ted Ginn Jr. to a one-year deal: SportsHoopla.com/GGZT4Z

per 49ers official twitter

Guess he came crawling back when he found out nobody wanted him as a WR.

I wonder if they'll run any 4 WR plays now.

Awesome! Top 10 return guy.

If we draft a WR that might push Kyle Williams to the bubble.

I think we are ready now to go to the draft.

Crabtree, Moss, Manningham, Ginn, Williams

Bogan, Hastings, and possibly 1 or 2 draft picks?

Is our need for WR as big now? Williams gonna be fighting for a roster spot it looks like.

Great signing though!

If you go to 49ers.com they have his stats.

Yards per return average wise, he was 3rd in kickoff returns and 4th in punt returns last year.

Basically a top 5 return guy in the NFL.

I still want to draft a big WR in this draft. Hill, Randle, Streeter.

That's good. That will provide a little depth at both receiver and in the kick return game. I think this gives the 49ers 5 receivers in the fold now and perhaps they might grab someone in the draft.

Finally some good news!

I'm a little sad it's only for 1 year (like I was with Rogers last offseason), but I'll take it!

They have to grab someone in the draft. Moss is 1 year, Ginn 1 year, Manningham 2 years and none of those guys are a #1.

Yea a hasting will either be cut or go to practice squad, i feel bogan may be on the practice squad. I have a feeling moss is gonna have a good yr. So basically it could be kyle williams vs a WR drafted in round 1-3? I highly doubt they go with 6 WR. I like Kwill as a reciever too.

I think he'll see even less of the field (as a WR) than last year. Kyle Williams > Ted Ginn as a WR IMO.

I would rather have Williams than Ginn. Ginn is a great return man, but he is awful as a wide out. Even though Williams fucked up royally in the championship game, I still like him as a player. I think he can get a lot better.

Ya, Ginn is a horrific route-runner but he's valuable as a returner and maybe to stretch the field once in a while.

Who is the odd man out then? I cant see them drafting a WR early if they want him to battle it out for a spot. If it is that early we pick a WR then its most likely assumed he makes the team barring some crazy incidents.

Kyle williams odd man out then? I liked him as our WR and thought he was catching everything thrown his way. Harbaughs offense doesnt seems to be the one with 6 WR on the team.

i find it hard to forgive kyle williams after his two fumbles that cost us the chance to go to the super bowl...But ginn is more important to the team cause of the field position ginn gave us last year.I'm sorry but williams got to go....
