Half the of the rivals don't even consider them the primary rival as there is usually another bigger rival more important.

Some of those little brothers have been superior for a while now. Michigan State has had a better football and basketball team than Michigan for a while, yet Michigan fans walk around acting like they just beat them even though they got humiliated again. Oddly, MI State still act inferior despite recent domination.

Note to MI State fans: You must come up with an argument of why MI State is better outside of athletics. It's all I hear from Michigan fans when they get stumped about how MI State is owning them: "Well, MI State is where you go if you can't get into Michigan."

Scholastics are comparable? I will give state props on improving their admissions process, but my buddy was accepted at MSU with 1.97 GPA in high school in the late 90's. You could multiply that GPA by 2 and you still aren't guaranteed admission into UM.
I do give MSU props for giving him a chance. He went on to law school and is now a lawyer.
The only people saying UM and MSU is "comparable" academically is MSU fans. That isn't a knock on MSU, that is just the truth.

Western/Central game was my first experience of college partying. Older brother went to Western and I came the weekend of the game. After that visit, I didn't think I'd make it out of college alive if people partied like that every weekend. Good times
