Insight from @BrittMcHenry on @SportsCenter, noting WSH asst Raheem Morris felt coverage good vs. NE; several sacks if it was full contact.

appareently the defense improved today . good news

very good learning experiences but you can't take this too seriously when they said Tom Brady would of been sacked multiple times but still threw the ball

i dont think the sky is falling . we have a young guy (robinson ) calling defenses vs a brady and he is hanging in there .

and you are right about the sacks

again the learning is important

Way too early too say but I think there are certain key words or phrases that it will be interesting to see how things develop as camp goes on. The phrases I am talking about our ones that were common themes last year:

Defense - poor communication and big plays
Offense - Griffin slow on reads and holds the ball too long

No real excuse for the defense other than they are going against a very good Patriots team. Same coaches so they aren't learning a lot of new stuff.

Hard to say about Griffin, he had these same issues last year. At the same time he is learning a new offense. Still it was a common theme I heard yesterday from different Redskin pundits, Keim, Chris Russell and Cooley. When give the chance to few days ago Bruce Allen said he still has a ways to go. A day or so later Gruden said the same thing.

Cooley made some interesting observations about Robert yesterday. He said in 2012 Griffin completed a play they called "Drift" 83 times for 1,000+ yards in 2012. He said every team was playing a single high safety and the linebackers was opening that space by coming to the line and the middle was open on virtually every play. At the start of last year Philly refused to honor that and left the linebacker there and disguised coverages because they knew Griffin couldn't run with his injured leg. This forced Robert into all the sudden having to read the defense which he struggled with. Cooley said not only did Griffin have a hard time with it but the play calling by the coaches didn't help either. They wanted to run the zone read which Griffin was mostly incapable of running last year. Anyhow new offense this year, QB inexperienced as a drop back QB. I am looking forward to seeing how Gruden helps him develop.
