I never count on our DBs getting an INT. I have :noidea: what your talking about.
:ohwell:

If our DBs were to get a pick, I would consider it to be like a woman with big bewb's = extra credit. :clap2:

why is it that every time we win a game there are like 4 or 5 articles about how taylor has finally taken the next step and is ready to lead this team and he is coming in to his won as a QB....soooooo annoying

I haven't seen any articles stating he's taken the next step.....

I've seen several that have praised him for his efforts this past weekend, but that should just be a given.

Put Tommy or Kellogg back there and we lose that game right there by 20 points.

Martinez is a gamer. I have said that from day one. He can also put a drive together in a clutch situation if he has any protection. Without that protection though and he is throwing off his back foot, hanging the ball in the air for ages, sending it over receivers heads and all too often directly to the wrong jersey.

I can't blame him wholly because you have to feel for a guy who knows that any protection is a bonus and can't be be expected but at the same time it's like damn Taylor run and get a couple of yards or even just throw the damn ball away and put the blame right where it belongs, on your line.

Something I noticed about Taylor that I don't understand.

The media always talks about his burst speed when he takes off on a zone read. But when he's trying to avoid a rush he generally gets caught from behind.

I know he's fast, he's a north/south runner, and not an east/west runner, but I'd think initial burst is initial burst no matter what direction one is going.

What gives?

Don't worry we all know there is another 5 turnover game inside him.

He threw two balls directly into defenders arms on that final drive. Both horrible throws. People seem to forget that.

Well, honestly this was probably the best performance of Taylor's career........I mean, you can look at other games and say "yea but but but.....yea but he ran for like 9 miles against Kansas State dat one time....."

Yea, but we were blowing them out of the water the entire game and you can't just expect a QB to run that much every game.

Against, Northwestern we had to have a QB who could step up as a leader......several guys on Offense have come forward and said Taylor took over the game completely, was directing everyone in the huddle for once, demanded respect and all that......

And then he went and had a brilliant 4th quarter to lead Nebraska to a win that will prove to be extremely important.

Out of all of those games you listed above, try to even come close to comparing one of those to this Northwestern game.....

Taylor did what a QB is supposed to do against Northwestern.........in those other games he was simply a playmaker..........making plays at convenient times.......

Taylor completed 3 passes in the 4th quarter against Ohio State last year........in a game that Nebraska as a team regained all momentum by the end of the 3rd quarter.

Taylor completed 10 of 12 passes in the final 2 drives of the NW game.......trailing 28-16 with 8:31 left in the game..........with no momentum at all, Taylor created it himself.....

That includes a perfect 5 of 5 passing on the game winning drive.

There has never been a game like this since Bo has been here.....and Taylor has never had a game like this.

I dunno RA I seldom see taylor get caught from behind specifically when running toward the boundary away from the rush.
