Why you have moved to such extreme positions is mindboggling.

“The WFT is going to be awful.”
“TH is awful.”

It’s bizarre, really.

It NOT extreme, I see them for what they are now not some pie in the sky dream sequence in which the hero comes out of nowhere and saves the day.

Aren't they awful? Please reread the posts from last nights game to answer that question. There's a theme there!

Never said that TH was awful, just needed to prove competence which he seems to be doing but has yet to convince most reasonable folks that he's there yet. Hell, my proof for this last bit comes from the organization and RR and Co. directly, when he didn't win the job over a seriously flawed Fitzpatrick here, or Allen/ others in Carolina.

Bizarre??? Oh please, hop off of the calliope, they are rarely seen anymore and like them the music ultimately stops. I don't know what you think you're seeing with this team, but I assure you, whatever that is... isn't... and quite literally is a bizarre way to look at what we've all seen thus far from this team.

BTW; I know why it's mind boggling... Take off those rose colored glasses!

It is a very small sample size but why anyone wants to rag on the kid right now is beyond me. If he continues to play well and the D gets straightened out that is good for Redskin fans right?

I am cautiously optimistic about Falco . We will win games if he has a 2td to 1 int ratio.
The defense has read their press clippings and they aren’t executing and that is a big issue .
Davis , BSJ will be good but rookies have growing pains . Cosmi is getting better every snap as is brown .
Allen is the only d/lineman playing up to and above their status . Curl needs more snaps

I would agree with most of this; however, I will question the effectiveness of Brown at this time and suggest more snaps for Cam Sims.

Brown- 4 catches for 32 yards on 10 targets

Maybe we should look at Brown in the slot because our 3rd down WR

Humphries- 9 for 54 yards on 10 targets…has one third down conversion and has come up short twice.

I think this is right on regarding Heinicke. Most of us like what we have seen so far.

I don't think a 2 TD to 1 Int guarantees wins. It didn't for Cousins although he was mostly a .500 QB here. I think we are STILL expecting better play by the defense which would make winning a lot easier.

The WTF rookies are doing what rookies do, they are all gaining experience. I am not down on any of them. Yes! to ore Curl.

I am fine for now with the WRs, I would love to see Samuels in game 4 but I am not going to bet on that. Hump has done okay. Terry and Logan are main receivers and McKissick should be one too.

All of us who are true WTF fans should be cheering for TH to succeed. What I'm concerned about mostly at this point is how will he manage the QB position against quality competition? I guess that test begins in our next game at Buffalo.

McDermott's defense is usually stout. No easy test and either will the Bills offense for the WTF's defense.

On the NFLN telecast after the game, someone, can't remember who, Steve Smith maybe, said Heiney had a habit of eyeballing a WR who he wanted to throw to. There's a few plays where you can see that I think. The biggest one being a play with Brown in the right slot and I don't remember who TH threw it to on that play, but Aikman said Brown should've been the 1st read on that play. He was wide open to and as Aikman said, he would've hit his head on the goalposts. Any pass that hits him in stride and he scores easy.

The other incident wasn't as egregious, but on the Skins first offensive play where Hieney throws imc to Thomas who was lined up on the left side. Humphries who was lined up right was wide open. I don't know what type of speed Humphries has, but he gets the 1st dn easy and if he makes one guy miss he could go a long way if he has some wheels.

Truth be told I thought signing Humphries was overkill far as WRs went. I wish they would've went after a LB or safety in FA before signing him. Fitz wanted him though that's why he's here I think. So he has 9 catches on 10 targets you say. That 10th target was a drop then that would've been a 1st dn had he caught it. He makes up for that though catching that pass for a 1st dn and getting out of bounds after the Skins burned their last timeout on the final drive.

One more Humphries tidbit. He was the biggest reason why the Skins ended up with a 4th n 7 on their final drive against Dago. On a 2nd n 5 from the Chargers 38. Heiney throw a little swing pass right side to Brown who was in motion from the left side (a play similar to what the Rams run quite a bit with Robert Woods) Brown looks like he may have some action as Terry Mac is wide right and locked up with a CB. The guy who was covering Brown tries to make a play, but he can't make up the ground coming all the way from the left side and Brown gets the corner on him as he tries to make a diving tackle. Humphries who was in the right slot is man up with Derwin James and he throws a fucked up, half ass look out block that James dismisses easily and he makes the tackle on Brown for no gain. For those that don't know what a look out block is. Its when someone who's supposed to be lead blocking. Falls to ground w/o blocking anyone, turns around and yells at the ball carrier, Look out! Humphries barely touched James, but it was enough for the ref to call clipping as blocking below the waist has become illegal for any player to engage in. So a 2nd n 5 from the Chargers 38 yd ln becomes a 2nd n 20 from the Skins 47 yd ln. On 2nd n 20 Heiney hits Humphries for a 4 yd gain to the Chargers 49 yd ln. On 3rd n 16 Hieney scrambles 9 yards to the Chargers 40 yd ln making it 4th n 7. The Skins punt and there ya go.

Take the clipping penalty by Humphries out the sequence and leave in the pass to Brown for no gain and instead of 3rd n 16 from the Chargers 49 yd ln. Its 4th n 1 from the Chargers 34 yd ln. And if Humphries had actually tried to block James or at least slow him down maybe Brown turns that pass for no gain into a decent gain or a big gain.

So yeah, I'm still kinda pissed at Humphries for that shit, but getting out of bounds on his catch against the Giants kinda makes up for it....almost.

At least we have 10 days to prepare for Buffalo. I would hope that a lot of our preparation will be to focus on a better running game. If we can develop this better we can take some of the pressure off TH, control the time of possession, move the chains more, and keep our defense off the field.

Were you'all pissed when he caught that out and got out of bounds to stop the clock on the game winning FG try?

I can’t credit a guy for winning when he really lost it but was bailed out.

That interception in that scenario was inexcusable.

That being said, I excuse him because we won, and he actually played pretty well overall. That was a great throw to RSJ.
The defender made a great play on that int. Not ever int is the fault of the QB, sometimes you gotta tip your hate to the other guy.

Speaking of defense, what the heck is going on with JDR?
