Trade up for Tannehill now? I like him better than Matt Barkley or Landry Jones. It'd probably have to be a huge trade up because he'll be a top 10 pick. Probably no lower than 8 to the Fish.

...Well, I'd have to watch Jones more, but at this point I like Tannehill more.

Niners wait on Alex. What about CK? Niners traded up last year in the 2nd rd to get him. Niners need to find out if he can be the QB of the future. Trading up for Tannehill would cost too much.

We just drafted kap why trade up for another qb not named luck? You'd have to give up too much to go top 10

I'd rather wait in draft Kellen Moore in the 4th round

i was listening to the radio and a fan called in and said this same thing. were you that guy? His argument was, JH coached up Smith with no off season so he should be able to coach up the most accurate QB in college history...

Because Tannehill > Kaep IMO.

I like Tannhill more than Barkley & Landry Joes at this point, and the Niners would have to trade up for them anyway. I'm also not as big a fan of that guy from Tennesee (name escapes me for some reason) as some people. Seems like a Ryan Mallett clone. I'd have to watch him more though.

Everyone has an opinion. Thank goodness the ultimate decision comes from Baalke and Harbaugh. I would like to see what CK could do before giving a boatload of draftpicks to draft Tannehill.

Well it wouldn't take a "boatload" of picks to move up to 6 or 7. It would take a lot, but not like trading up for Luck or RGIII. They might even take a 1st, 2nd and next year's 1st & 3rd? Does that sound right?

that sounds like too much to move up to 6 or 7

I think 2 1st and just a 3rd would suffice

That's not enough. The 3rd would only move the Niners up 5-6 spots. The 2nd would move 'em up from the 25 range to the 15ish range. Next year's first sounds about right to move up another 8-9 spots. They might take 2 3rds and next year's 1st if they really wanted to trade down.

I think Harbaugh can do some real damage with a guy like Tannehill. He's real raw, but has an undeniable skill set and the way he spins the ball really impresses me.

I don't know about trading up for him, though. He's not dropping out of the top-15, IMO.

Who's the next college prospect you like as a potential Niner QB?
