I dont think its any secret who the two guys we are looking at with this next pick, I want big Tank, who could take over for J-Smith in a year or two. How nice would our draft be if we get Tank. We would have our future starting DE and FS with the first 2 picks to a team that is already stacked

That is definitely a position of need but if we are looking at the future what about Eddie Lacey to replace Gore in a year or two. I really like his style.

If lacy is falling due to injury concerns I don't see why we can't wait till later to draft him or lattimore. Tank would be my pick here.

I want a defensive lineman, the last 4 games and into the playoffs scared the shit out of me about what life will be like without Justin.

lacy would be interesting. i also like ertz and jenkins at this spot. but grabbing another safety to compliment reid would be solid. cyprien was huge at the senior bowl who is better suited for fs than reid.

My preference is for Tank at 34, Keenan Allen at 61, and Jordan Reed at 93.

I'd consider a trade down with the Cardinals or Jets in the 2nd to pickup a future 3rd or 4th. That would risk losing Tank, but you could still go Williams or Hunt there.

I'm not sure but I think good DEs are easier to find than an every-down RB. I think we'll need both in a year or two and backs like Lacey are not easy to find in the second round unless there is something I'm missing about him.

if we take tank, should we move to a 4-3?

justin and mcdonald at DT then aldon and tank at DE. i know tank is an excellent pass rusher and very strong but he doesn't seem to have the overal bulk that would be needed for a 3-4.

Just beware of Dallas taking him in the 2nd.

Dallas fans would burst into flames if that happens.

But it does make sense for Jerry Jones to overreach on OL/C in order to protect his overpaid poster boy Romo.

No. He can grow as did J Smith did when he came over from the Bengals. Also he can play end in Nickle situations which we are in alot anyway.
