Holy monkey, just looked and Tampa/David Price are getting smoked 5-0 in the 5th. Benjie Fat Ass is going retro as well.

I guess the Rays need to sweep the next three games to keep my prediction going :D

Who has the better radio broadcast team, Texas or Tampa?

As I said over at ESPN, in a short series no one knows nuthin'. No one pencils in Price to give up 5 quick ones, you figure a pitchers duel.

Opening round needs to be 7 games.

You said it man, anything can happen in a short series. That said, the games are already going into November, so I'm ok with the 5 game series.....unless the Giants lose 3 of the first 5 ;)

They could play a couple more doubleheaders and shorten the regular season. They could start a few days earlier like Apr 1 not Apr 4-5. They could do it.

Owners would never agree to doubleheaders -- they lose money. I'd be for shortening the NLDS to three games, myself. The LCS could be five, and the WS seven.

Owners would never agree to that either.

Oh, totally agree, the owners will never go for it. The owners won't do anything sensible long term. Like instituting a MINIMUM team salary in exchange for a soft salary cap.

Well game 1 is in the books and Texas takes the opener. Hell of a game by Cliff Lee.

Reds already down 2 - 0 in the bottom of the second against the Phils and Halladay.

The fucking Reds are a joke and didn't deserve to be in the playoffs. Soft division. Looks like Phils in three.

I would like to see more double-headers in the summer. Too bad it won't happen.

Damn, same shit different day. 6-0 Texas in the Bottom of the 8th.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that my prediction of the Rays winning this series is gonna be wrong. :D

Yes indeed. Shows you how quickly the good feelings we (or Atlanta fans or Rays fans or...) feel right now can all go to shit within a day or two. Rays are arguably the 2nd-3rd best team and baseball, and they are on the verge of being done.

5 games? Man, tonight's game is huge.

BTW: heard this surprising statistic on the radio today: Burrell led the Giants in OPS in the second half.
