Well, the rumors for Josh Johnson started almost as soon as Harbaugh became the coach. 49ers could use another QB, would you rather see a more seasoned Vet QB, or would you like to see the 49ers trade for Johnson?

This is Inman hype. Believe me when I say Crompton is a scrub. He got drafted based on Kiffin smoke and mirrors. Two teams have already found out he's worthless. I don't see him making Johnson expendable.

I still believe at some point (perhaps with the first cuts) we will add another QB. Johnson would be an interesting acquisition from a QB competition perspective. I would not mind it.

I think you're right, and you know, with Johnson being an RFA after this season without a whole lot of hype around him outside of the Bay. Maybe the 49ers should just show patience and bring him in next year. If they even want him.
