hey they are projecting 40 million under the cap for us maybe we get both Rak and talib. We would lose Hall but who cares.

id give rak 8million but you guys think he is worth 10-13. no way. We need a Cb in the worst way skinsdad and if Hall leaves we are really screwed.

i have never , ever said Rak was worth 12-13 mil . i have said he will fall in the 10 mil range and i would take rak over talib anyday

If rak is worth 10 million to you then how come talib isn't worth 8? Hey we might get both of them. We might lose both of them. I hope we get one. In a perfect world they should both get 8 but we will see.

Dean, IMO if we don't re-sign Orakpo for 8-10 mil(I doubt his agent will push for more) we have a huge loss.
Brandon Jenkins's body will not survive a full season.

If we miss out on Talib for anywhere from 7-12mil, you still have

Shields, Cason, and Verner(as options likely in the 7 mil per yr max) who are slightly less talented but have starting experience, and with an improved pass rush ...could excel.

johnathan joseph from the texans signed a 5 year 48 mil contract when he was 27 in 2011. With talibs off field issues he should be had for 8 mil a season. If he gets over 10 that would be ridiculous.

Talib is better than Joseph.

For the record, I'd love for your guys valuations to be a decent assessment of the market. But I'm already prepped to the idea of 10+ being what it takes, and I think he still stays. If it's less I'll be ecstatic and he definitely doesn't move.

I think so too. Someone will pay him 10 mill. I hope it isn't us.

That article's stupid. There's no chance talib is that cheap.

Your numbers are off. Revis is making 16. 13 base and 3 more roster bonus.

But talib is better than everyone on that list but Revis.

yeah, i'm having reading comprehension problems.

Thought you had said 4m per year.

But those number look about right.
i dont look at bleacher but someone posted it so i gave it a glance and according to bleachers estimated contracts i would do talibs and alberts. now their numbers could be completely off but i was just saying i take those two contracts

just because the Bucs overpaid for him doesnt mean 31 other teams would value him that much

No way the pats or steelers, or any front office with a half a brain, are paying that kind of money for a DB

There is a reason the TB front office is being replaced this off season ....

And Revis is fairly likely to stay despite the front office going.

It doesn't take 31 teams. It takes one. I personally wouldn't be surprised in the slightest if NE gave him 8-10. It would take you more than that to lure him away.

Talib is better than Joesph but you have to factor in Talibs off field issues so he should come at a cheaper price. The Pats never overpay for players especially ones who have off-field issues. If they give Talib 10 mil I would be shocked.

Which is why I expect the guarantee to be for all but behavior.

But when you consider what revis is making and what Sherman and Peterson will demand, 10mil for a top notch corner is cheap.
