There is somewhere inbetween Robot Crosby and Asshole OV. I like my sports figures to be people I like, not to take the media on a 2-day tour of their dickery. I realize me being female is playing into this, but he is a jackass. Where does anyone talk about Max like this? Maybe he is known as a ladies man...I honestly don't know, but last I heard, he didn't invite an interviewer to come watch him prep for his threesome.

It's not that his lifestyle is douchey per se, it's the fact that he feels compelled to bring attention to it. If that's what you mean than I agree. On the other hand, having multiple sexual partners because you have the ability to, without feeling compelled to bring attention to it, if that's what one desires I see no need to pass judgment on it.

i found myself getting increasingly more disturbed with this thread by the post...then came the scientist jokes. anyway, as a female i classify OV as a douche because he obviously treats women poorly...that SAID the women are obviously on the promiscuous side (obviously.......), however that doesn't change the fact that he acts like a complete idiot. i'm sorry, i know some (not singling out anyone, just making an observation on men i know in general) men seem to aspire to just galavant around thinking with their other heads, but it's just immature and douchey. sorry, that's just my female take on the article. doesn't change the fact that he's possibly the most talented player in the NHL though...just an assessment of his character.

So? I didn't know GQ had a level of douche requirement for every person they profile.

Hockey's always had a level of classiness from players that other pro sports leagues don't have (please don't trot out the exceptions...they prove the rule). It's funny that this is something that most people say they love about the sport, but when OV acts like a tool, everyone rushes to his defense.

He is a single guy. He is acting like some single guys act. Last I checked, he is not forcing any of these women into any of the situations. I just don't see how he is being such a bad dude. i would not make those choices, but that is me, and I am not him. Until sexual assault charges start piling up, or he is doing it while his wife is home with the kids, I will give him a pass.
