Cardinals got about 8 of them, by my count. (couldn't resist)

Gregory looked good
The defense looked good, even without Sean Lee.
Who is the COWBOY'S backup QB?
Has the offense, found chemistry, with our WRs?
And by the way, who is the starting TE?

Gregory will get double digit sacks if he plays the entire season.

I do really like the front 7, but I just think the safety position keeps the defense from being elite. I think the defense needs to be elite for this team to make the playoffs.

The TE situation is not good. I firmly believe the Cowboys draft TE in first round if they had known before the draft that Witten was going to retire. The question now is if the Cowboys keep 4 tight ends. NONE of them stand out. Swaim seems to be decent at everything, but no great. Jarwin looks bad as a blocker. Schultz very raw. Rico.would be my pick if he better understood the game.

The lack of quality depth is a problem.

Backup qb is a problem. Rush has a noodle arm and was exposed in this game. The Cowboys have no chance if Dak goes down.

Sure doesn't seem Coach Kellen Moore is having a great first year teaching the backup QBs so far...

I would keep White as #3 and sign a vet backup. Any game that Cooper Rush has to start against 1's is a loss, plain and simple

I would just put White as a #2, & find someone to put on PS. To me we are just wasting money on a vet back up. If Dak goes down. Even if we were lucky enough to make the playoffs, we wouldnt get far. If Dak missed a lot of time, I dont think a vet back up gets us to the playoffs. let White learn as the #2 & build a home grown back up. instead of retarding his learning curve by sticking him behind someone we only plan on keeping part time.

I look at it as you aren't necessarily asking a backup to play 8 games. You may just be asking him to play 4 series or maybe 1 or 2 games. When you are in the 9, 10 win area we seem to find ourselves in, those are huge games and you need to give yourself the best chance to win and weigh that against the salary you'd pay a better backup.

to me it would be who is available.
A good back up capable of being a starter sure, but then we wouldnt be keeping White. (I am looking long term, not just this year) but a McNown or Kellen Moore or just some guy because he is a vet yo look good on paper as a #2.
Rather just take the chance Dak doesnt get hurt or White learns enough by the time he does. it will be the same result.
So yes. I could agree with you guys depending on the caliber of the back up we signed. but by start of season I dont see that being a difference maker from our inexperienced guys. Another note. With the way garrett coaches, he will dumb down his offense to failure with a back up, regardless who that player is.

My concern, is mainly about the new WRs and the chemistry (or the lack thereof) in a real game, with Dak........
The COWBOYS lack of throwing deep passes early in a game, with Dak bothers me also........
With WRs learning a new system and not having a proven TE, may be a big problem.....
I noticed the QBs have been throwing to RBs a lot, in preseason.
