Not going to name names, but a couple players on the offensive side of the ball told me today that they just 'underestimated wyoming' and 'they're going to put on a show' this week against Southern Miss. They said the coaches and team didn't take Wyoming seriously.

Now after hearing that two things really worried me.

1. Our team is underestimating and not taking some teams seriously....THATS WHEN YOU LOSE GAMES.

2. I don't care what they do this week against Southern Miss, it won't tell us anything.

So. Miss might as well be a fcs team bc nobody gonna care that we put50 plus pts but if its a game then people will be like WTF

That is the coaches fault. 99.98%. I will give the players 0.02% fault as they pretty much have to do what they are told or else get benched but a player has to make a play. SJB made some plays. Gregory made some plays. No one else on defense made a play.

I was also concerned about what I thought was Taylor Martinez's lackadaisical play. He did not seem into the game at all.

I think So. Miss will be better than the experts think (I may be homering it).

They only lost that game last week in the final two minutes on a blown coverage long pass play. They had 6 turnovers. The So. Miss I know has better talent than Wyoming. Two coaching changes in two years fucked them up.

I remember the Huskers losing to Iowa St at home a few years ago when they had like 8.

It's said that teams improve the most between weeks one and two. You'd think that applies both ways.

Nebraska should win, but I doubt by 29.

i actually believe that report some what. Our O-line was better than they looked Saturday, I have confidence in that. Heck Garrison has even said that his guys were lazy as hell against WYO, not finishing plays.

I'd take a show in the 1st half. Put up a TD on every possession (preferably while using a limited amount of the playbook to save stuff for UCLA), so the 2nd string can play the 2nd half, that's the type of show i want.

Wyoming played sound and they were all on the same page. Things clicked for them. They appeared very well coached.

I agree that Southern Miss won't turn it over 6 timea again......but shit, any team who does turn it over 6 times to the College of Hair Design must have some issues. I just don't see them being the opponent that was Wyoming.

Honestly, I think Wyoming may have one of those 10 win kinda seasons.

I'm just referring to talent. So. Miss has better talent than Wyoming. They are faster and more athletic. Considering So. Miss has had two coaches in two years and a new coach this year, it's obvious Wyo would have the coaching advantage.

Naturally Wyoming is better than anyone thinks. They were less than two minutes away from upsetting 30 pt favorite (eventual Big 10 and BCS Champz) Nebraska in Lincoln. If Nebraska's 23rd Wyoming should be 24th or 25th. At the top of "Also Receiving Votes" at the very damn minimum.

Amazing turn around by the Cowboys from 4-8 and the botttom echelon of nearly every NCAA stat category. I'd say David Christensen for Coach of the Year, but Bo beat him, so Bo for Coach of the Year.

Even in 09 we pull the comeback against Mizzou to get skunked by 21 to Texas tech at home
