Bmurph
F the Houston Astros
We shall see how he pans out
Great pointI wish I could see Tyron Smith vs that behemoth Taco in practice. Tyron and Marinelli gonna make him a beast.
I would love to see us get Budda Baker or Kevin King, though it would cost us a 4 to move up, maybe even a 3.It really wanted adoree Jackson , but this i's a great pick. In other drafts taco would have been a top 10 pick. Now time to draft some dbs. I hope Sidney Jones is sit ting there at 60. Maye from Florida or the NC state safety would be studs in this defense. Can't wait to see who we get
I'm all in, love it.
"Really, really talented player. You won't always see it on every play so that is going to be a coach's job to get that out of him. Rushers with his size and athleticism are hard to find and they usually go very early in the draft." -- AFC executive
Did you hear them say the CB was rated higher? Or did a writer assume that? I was trying to read between the lines and figure it out. What I heard them say was both Taco and a CB had a first round grade and the CB is still there and part of the reason they passed on the CB and took DE was because of the number of CBs they still liked. But I didn't hear them actually say they had the CB rated higher. Could be the case.I'm really happy with Taco. The only thing that surprised me was that the Cowboys had a CB on the board they had rated higher than Charlton(King?), but took Taco for need. I actually think CB is a more dire need
They said the Cowboys only gave 18 first round grades, and the CB was a first round grade. They gave Taco a second round grade and had him in the early 20'sDid you hear them say the CB was rated higher? Or did a writer assume that? I was trying to read between the lines and figure it out. So that leads to this. There is one player left on their board with a first round grade (perhaps even higher than Taco). What do we give up to get him? A 2 and a 3 will do it, but I wouldn't do that. But if they have a player at a position of need with a first round grade sitting there, as soon as the 2nd round gets deep enough that a 2 and a 4 will get him...I do it. If it's a 2 and a 5 it's a no-brainer but that only buys us a few spots I would think. Again, this is based on the fact that the Cowboys have the guy rated as a first rounder and obviously like him a lot more than other players even if we ourselves disagree.
Interesting, that isn't how I heard and read it but I didn't watch the entire press conference. Will watch at lunch. ThanksThey said the Cowboys only gave 18 first round grades, and the CB was a first round grade. They gave Taco a second round grade and had him in the early 20's
