Releasing Ward frees up a bunch of cap space. And if Elway thinks this Parks kid can play, it's a win-win.

Agree- I like Parks, but to me he is good depth. We might have something in Carter.

Pitt would make sense, big upgrade over Mike Mitchell. Same type but Mitchell is even worse in coverage. Sean Davis I think will have a good career there not sure how he has done this camp.

Haden and Ward reuinted would be kinda neat, although it is Pittsburgh so not too neat.

A little more than that - same conference means likely more head to heads with a TJ Ward team. Of course, tiebreakers - tiebreakers - in the end it is all about the offer (as you said).

Right if the Steelers offer more then Carolina you jumped on the Steelers offer. It's not quite the same as a pitcher in baseball or a QB or young rising player.

If Carolina and Pitt offer similar, then yes, send him to the NFC.
