Sykora to attend camp?

I'm more interested in Stralman. Young dman. Right handed shooter. Decent point production compared to our defensemen. Could be interesting. His +/- hasn't been great, but we don't hold that against Kovy.

I'm shocked that he's only 26. You don't see a lot of camp invited for players that age.

And at a bare minimum he can act as as some depth at the 6th/7th spot in case the coaches aren't pleased with some of the youngsters, or they don't want to rush Larsson.

Alright let's not turn this into a Kovy debate since he has nothing to do with this thread. Bernier has all the tools but his work ethic and mindset have been awful in the past. Sykora has no shot. Stralman is an interesting choice because he is still young. I'm anxious to see what happens because our 4th line and 3rd pair defensively have some question marks.

We haven't had too much luck bringing back ex Devils in recent years. But, good to see him with a hat trick today. Its only preseason, but he still has that good shot it seems.

I always liked Sykora. In a way, I am rooting for him. The last thing I remembered seeing him play was he looked a lot slower, but I read him saying that his hip was not 100 percent last season.

lol come on now i think i've pointed out a number of times last year where the devils defense and marty were 100% to blame and yet kovalchuk still gets a minus. thats why its a bogus stat. unless you are directly responsible for giving up the puck IN YOUR OWN ZONE then you shouldnt get penalized for someone else goof up

This one 75% the defense/Marty's fault, but it still starts with Kovy giving the puck away.

This one is one that really makes one wonder. Kovy gets a pass (a bad one from Tao) bobbles it, coughs it up, sharks come in on offense while you can clearly see Kovy just standing in the middle of the ice not back checking to help his rookie dman.
